Kelly L. Weaver is the Founder of the Spirit Society of Pennsylvania formerly known as the Capital Ghost Forum. Kelly grew up in a haunted 19th century home in Hummelstown and at an early age discovered she could detect and communicate with the spirits present. An artist by passion, education and profession, Kelly left the corporate world in 1997 to open her own business - Kelly's Magical Garden - which provides Aromatherapy Products and Services. (She is a Certified Aromatherapist and a Reiki Master Practitioner). A gifted psychic, Kelly's Readings have amazed and helped clients locally and nationwide; her classes on After Death Communication, Intuition and Angels are constantly filled. She regularly speaks at local colleges and organizations on Ghosts and a variety of Metaphysical subjects. She is a represenative of the American Ghost Society and the Academy of Religion and Physical Research. "Roo" is often found "playing" in her herb and flower gardens, or absorbed in a book on some esoteric subject.

Kelly's first book, Whispers in the Attic: Living with the Dead was published in June 2004. It can purchased when visiting the Magical Garden or by mail. It is available on line at Amazon.com and in several mid-state PA locations Meditation CD's and a DVD on After Death Communication were introduced in 2007.

John Weaver is an art director/illustrator and photographer who investigates hauntings with his psychic-medium wife, Kelly. Fundamentally a "skeptic", John uses his wife as part of the "equipment" to determine and even stimulate the presence of paranormal activity which he documents with still and video cameras. Working with Kelly has resulted in his experiencing several dramatic encounters with ghosts ranging from hearing disembodied voices to touches to seeing (together with Kelly) the full apparition of their beloved German Shepherd, Bleu. He has an Art Degree and reads extensively on various historical subjects, concentrating on the Civil War, World War II and Transatlantic Ocean Liners. His interest in the paranormal also includes UFOs, fostered by a well-documented sighting when 13 years old. John has been a hockey goaltender for over 30 years and is a sports car enthusiast and avid fan of open-wheel motor racing.

ABOUT The Spirit Society of PA

Formerly the Capital Ghost Forum, the Spirit Society of PA remains a non-profit interest group dedicated to exploring ghosts, hauntings and other paranormal phenomenon. We have expanded our scope to include a wide spectrum of "life after life" subjects. We conduct investigations of sites that are reported to be haunted, obtaining photographic, video, audio and other documentation using common-sense protocols designed to ensure that natural events are not mistaken for evidence of the paranormal. SSP was founded as the Capital Ghost Forum in 1996 by Kelly Weaver, a psychic-medium who grew up in a haunted 19th Century home and her husband John, who relys on a variety of equipment to substantiate her findings. Unlike some groups, we recognize the contributions of responsible intuitives (those who have demonstrated their talent and remain in control of their emotions) and their ability to direct us to and even attract activity. However, we are also committed to obtaining correlating evidence of the validity of their observations through video, photo, audio, EM and thermal data. (Our investigation protocols are based on those established by Troy Taylor and the American Ghost Society, for which SSP Founder Kelly Weaver is a Regional Investigator.
