I would like to offer a few narratives referencing cryptid hominids from the native people's point of view:
Apache Tribe Reveals Encounters With Bigfoot
Footprints in the mud. Tufts of hair on a fence. Ear-piercing screeches in the night. These are only fragments of the stories now coming from the White Mountains in Eastern Arizona.
For years the White Mountain Apache Nation has kept the secret within tribal boundaries. “We’re not prone to easily talk to outsiders,” said spokeswoman Collette Altaha. “But there have been more sightings than ever before. It cannot be ignored any longer.”
It is a creature the world knows as “Bigfoot”.
“No one’s had a negative encounter with it,” said Marjorie Grimes, who lives in Whitewater, the primary town on the reservation. Grimes is one of many who claim to have seen the creature over the last 25 years. Her first sighting was in 1982. Her most recent was in the summer of 2004, driving home from the town of Cibecue. She becomes more animated as the memory comes forth. “It was all black and it was tall! The way it walked; it was taking big strides. I put on the brakes and raced back and looked between the two trees where it was, and it was gone!”
Grimes’ son Francis has a story. Their neighbor Cecil Hendricks has a story. Even police officers have had strange encounters. Officer Katherine Montoya has seen it twice. On a recent night dozens of people called into the tribe’s radio station to talk about what they’d seen. Others came in person.
Oh-Mah - The 'Boss of the Woods'
I received the following email on November 5th, 2008:
My question to you is 'have I seen something unusual?'
In August of 2006, I was working in Northern California and was interested in finding bigfoot prints. I have a friend who is a member of the Hoopa First Nation. I contacted him and then spoke to an elder. I was taken to an area where some footprints had just been found. Being skeptical, I took my right boot off and stepped down next to the foot print. I am 7' 1" tall and weigh 395 pounds and wear a size 17 street shoe or a size 19 boot (as boot sizes are often mislabelled). I am of Scot and Lakota Sioux lineage and speak a number of First Nation languages.
After putting on my boots, we heard a screaming howl. My friends started saying Oh-mah was coming and we had to leave. My friend Dave told his elder about what I had done and we went back to the site three hours later. There were numerous large footprints surrounding mine and what I believe to be a large finger hole in the middle of my footprint.
I was contacted a couple of weeks later and invited back to the reservation as they normally lose a good portion of their apple crop to Oh-mah but in 2006 they didn't lose anything. They wanted to know if I could come back every year and walk around barefoot to intimidate Oh-mah and if I have any big friends my size.
Oh-mah either saw me with the much shorter native indians and thought I was another Oh-mah or recognized the footprint as a threat. The elder thought Oh-mah didn't want a confrontation with something almost as big as he and left the area.
The Oh-mah footprint was the same length as mine but an inch and half wider at the ball and 3/4 of an inch wider at the heel. The depth of the print was the same.
I have spoken with some so-called experts from the BFRO and from the Bigfoot Discovery Project and got laughed at but then they wanted me to come with them and speak to the bigfoot via bull horn in either native language. I rather not be used by someone who is too narrow minded for me to speak to the kononpaiochis (literally the people of the north who don't comb their hair -- bigfoot).
Sincerely yours,
Don Talks With Owl Campbell
Note: I have been told that the native tribes in this area (Hupa and Yurok) both use the name 'Omah' or 'Oh-mah' translated as 'boss of the woods'.
Giant Cannibalistic Man
The Algonquin on the western shores of Lake Champlain told of seeing the windigo or "giant cannibalistic man" who, according to legend, roamed the countryside. One modern-day Native American account of the windigo describes it as "a giant thing, swift"¦ and covered with hair, and has eyes like two pools of blood. And there's this smell, like rotting meat." This description is similar to Bigfoot reports today.
The Iroquois have a similar oral history of flesh-eating stone giants who possessed powerful physiques.
Across the border in Quebec, the Algonquin-speaking Attikamekw called these creatures Kokotshe.
In his ship's log chronicling his voyage of discovery on the St. Lawrence River 1604, Champlain wrote how numerous Indian tribes in the region had told eerie stories of a giant, hairy man-beast that was known to the natives as "the Gougou." Champlain wrote that so many of the tribes recounted such stories that he believed there must be some truth to the tales.
"And what makes me believe what they say, is the fact that all the savages in general fear it, and tell such strange stories of it."
In northern Vermont, Abenaki traditions tell of a huge, hairy, man-like creature known as the Forest Wanderer who would leave giant, human-like footprints behind. In the 18th and early 19th centuries, many early Vermont settlers in Essex and Orleans counties told of encountering a mysterious bear that moved swiftly through the woods on two legs, always managing to elude capture.
In the forests of Northern Wisconsin, Michigan and East Central Canada, between about 42 to 48 degrees of latitude, there have been a resurgence of reports of a large, bipedal carnivore, within the past several years. There is a notable resemblance in the descriptions to a being in the lore of native tribes: the Windigo, a tall, ferocious creature with a wolf-like head on the body of a man or bear. It also fits the descriptions from European legends of the werewolf.
The cryptic creature is reported to have unique characteristics that differ from the appearance of a Sasquatch or Bigfoot. Generally smaller and less stocky than a Sasquatch, it is said to be closer to the height of an average man, and the arms and legs are similar in proportion to the human. The hands or fore-paws are said to have long curving, sharp claws. The feet, judged by footprints, are said to be elongated somewhat like the human, but the toes are shorter and configured more like a canine. But the most striking feature, according to the accounts, is the elongated muzzle with large protruding canines and pointed incisors.
Accounts of sightings of the creature are often in conjunction with a fresh kill, usually a deer. Its demeanor is hostile and aggressive, according to reports. The non-human expression is said to be malevolent, and the glaring eyes and snarling grimace are said to provoke a deep sense of dread.
Chickasaw People and the Lofa
One day a number of men went hunting and camped a considerable distance from home. Afterward they scattered to see what they could find but remained within call of one another, having made an agreement that if anything happened to one of them he should shout for help. But one of them ventured farther than he was aware and got a long distance off. Presently he got tired and sat down to rest, but while he was there a lofa (means “skinner.” The being was thought to have long hair like an animal) came up and said: “What are you doing here? You are intruding upon my land and had better get up and return to your own place.”
But the Indian believed himself to be strong enough for any situation, so he sat still without speaking.
Presently the lofa ordered him off again and added, “If you do not get up and go away I will tie you up and carry you to my place.”
“You may do so if you can,” the man replied, and upon this the lofa seized him.
At first it seemed as if the man were the stronger of the two and he was able to throw the lofa down, but the latter smelled so bad that it was too much for his antagonist, and the lofa overcame him, hung him up in a tree and went away.
The man hung there all night, and when he did not make his appearance at camp the other hunters began a search for him and, when they found him, cut the grapevine by which he was fastened so that he fell to the ground. They asked him what had treated him in this manner but he would not speak and they thought he might have seen a ghost or something of that sort.
Some time later, however, he came to himself and related what had happened. Afterwards, thought he was very fond of hunting and knew that he would be successful, he would not venture out unless someone were with him.
Other Stories
Bigfoot sighting stories are no surprise to the Native American tribes living in the Sierra. To them Bigfoot was just like the bear, mountain lions, wolves and coyotes. Ron Goode of the North Fork band of Mono Indians states, "We have an understanding that Bigfoot was here, is here. That he once he existed. The Mono's have two names for him. One that was in the mountains, Kooseekoosnow, and then one for the foothills is Kakownow, Kakownah." Goode says he hasn't seen a Bigfoot, but thinks he smelled one. "It had kind of followed me along and really scared the heck out of me because I was running for a little bit and I could smell this thing and it smelled terrible."
I once received a telephone call from a woman in British Columbia who said she was the daughter of a Kootenai shaman. She stated that most Native tribes seem to believe Sasquatch is a non-physical creature. Some tribal elders mention that they have seen the creature shapeshift into a wolf. She said her father thought that the creatures lived in another dimension from our physical plane, but can come here as it wishes. He also believed that Sasquatch has great psychic abilities and that the creature can be visible to some people, while at the same time remain invisible to others in the same group.

Scary UFO Encounter in Alabama
Muscle Shoals, Alabama - 1/2/12 - unedited: Just came on duty, [profession and place of business removed/CMS/dr]. still dark. Work gate by myself. plant is out in the country. eating some mcdonalds standing outside guard shack and noticed off in the distance over a stretch of pasture what looked at first to be a helicopter slowly traversing field. about a mile away or less. watched it for a min or two as it came closer to plant. realized that I did not hear any rotor noise. looked closer as it came toward new construction( new smelter building) it disappeared behind building for a min then came right over the top and it was then I realized that I had no Idea what it was. took out my cell phone and tried to get camera on, my hands where shaking pretty bad. got it on looked up and it was almost directly over me at I would guess about fifty feet. I took a couple of shots as it began to ascend. it got up pretty high Im not sure maybe a thousand feet and then it just vanished. after the fact I remembered that it did not make noise but it did vibrate my chest and head. very strange feeling and hard to explain. it had three distinct lights on the underside that changed in intensity as it took off... very blue and slightly violet. no heat. the top side was very dark and I could not see any detail. not a saucer sape but a circle cut in half. flat side down. no lights on top. My air force buddy tried to tell me its one of ours but he is wrong. I am familiar with most aircraft and this was not one of ours. - MUFON CMS

Man dies after failed attempt at setting new 'buried alive' world record
A Sri Lankan man has died while trying to break an informal local record for the longest time spent being buried alive, police say. Janaka Basnayake, 24, allegedly buried himself with the help of family and friends in a trench sealed with wood and soil in the town of Kantale.
The government has urged the public not to attempt similar "high risk events". Mr Basnayake went underground on Saturday morning, and was pronounced dead the same afternoon, police say.
Doctors say that a post-mortem examination has not determined the cause of death and further medical investigations are being conducted. The trench in which Mr Basnayake was buried was 10ft (3m) deep.
His family say he was buried alive on two previous occasions - for two and a half hours and six hours respectively. It is unclear whether there is an official world record for the longest time buried alive.
Although a collision with a vast tower of ice ultimately brought the passenger liner to its sticky end, it was a freak lunar event three months earlier that put the obstacle in its path, a new study claims.
An incredibly rare combination of astronomical factors including the closest approach of the moon to Earth in 1,400 years caused an unusually high tide in January 1912, researchers found.
This once-in-a-lifetime swell would have swept a vast field of icebergs from their normal resting place off the coast of Canada and caused them to drift further south.
It would have taken them almost exactly three months to reach the shipping lanes where the Titanic sank on April 14 at a cost of 1,500 lives, the scientists reported in Sky & Telescope magazine.
Prof Donald Olson of Texas State University, who led the study, said: “They went full speed into a region with icebergs, that’s really what sank the ship, but the lunar connection may explain how an unusually large number of icebergs got into the path of the Titanic.”
Unusually high tides known as spring tides are caused when the moon and sun line up in a way that means their gravitational pulls are enhanced.
On January 4, 1912 the Moon came closer to Earth than at any point in the previous 1,400 years, and reached its nearest point within just six minutes of a full moon.
This rare coincidence happened just a day after the Earth made its closest annual approach to the sun, and the freak combination of factors against overwhelming odds caused a record spring tide.
This would have been enough to dislodge huge numbers of icebergs from the shallow waters around Labrador and Newfoundland and sweep them into southward currents, leaving them just enough time to reach the Titanic’s path by April, the researchers said.
Prof Olson added: “We don’t claim to know exactly where the Titanic iceberg was in January 1912 – nobody can know that – but this is a plausible scenario intended to be scientifically reasonable.” - telegraph

World's largest albino family
A white-skinned Indian couple are set to enter the record books along with their offspring, after becoming the world's biggest albino family.
The ten members of the Pullan family, headed by Rosetauri, 50, and his wife Mani, 45, all have the extremely pale skin and near-white hair of albinos.
But despite years of prejudice and suffering the poor vision which is a side effect of the condition, the Pullans and their eight other family members are set to land a Guinness World Record.
The Pullan's sons Shankar, 24, Vijay, 25 and Ramkishan, 19, and daughters Renu, 23, Deepa, 21 and Pooja, 18, inherited their albinism, according to The Sun.
Renu married a man who also had albinism, Rosheh, 27, and the couple's son Dharamraj, 2, also inherited the condition from his parents.
The family live in a one-bedroom flat in Delhi, and say many fellow Indians find it hard to believe they were born and bred in the country.
Roseturai Pullan told The Sun: 'I've heard people call us 'angrez', which means 'English'.
'All we know is that we can't see properly, and we can't sit under the sun for long, but we live the best we can.
'People in Delhi are a little more open-minded, but many think we're foreigners.'
Albinism affects around one in 17,000 people.
Those with the condition do not produce enough melanin pigment, which gives colour to the skin, hair and eyes and protects the body from the sun's rays.
Albinos such as the Pullans often suffer from extreme short-sightedness and a severe sensitivity to light.
After marrying in 1983, Rosetauri and Mani moved from southern India to Delhi.
The couple say they have had a 'tough life' and often been treated as outsiders, but mother Mani says despite the family's setbacks she sees the condition as a 'gift from God'.
A spokesperson for Guinness World Records said they would be contacting the Pullans to verify the record of them being the world's biggest albino family.
It is thought the current record is held by a six-strong family who live in the U.S. and Canada. - dailymail
Michoacán's Diario ABC reported the strange deaths of 35 sheep in the town of Parácuaro. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of 1 March 2012. The boides presented claw and tooth injuries; the majority of the injuries were under the neck, as if sliced by a razor. The person who looked after the sheep pens stated that he saw the entity that attacked the animals: it had fangs, claws and wings, and moved very quickly.
Agustín Carrillo Madrigal, the owner of the sheep, said that the pen is a quarter of a hectare in size, surrounded by a 2 meter tall cyclone fence. Six rams were kept outside the pen. Three of them died there and the others turned up dead on the outside. An inspection of the perimeter did not show any opening through which they could have exited.
It should be noted that the same enclosure also contained cows, horses and pigs, which suffered no injuries at all. - Source: Ana Luisa Cid & Diario ABC (Michoacán)
ABC News Mexico is reporting a farm animal attack last week in the town of Parácuaro believed to be by a Chupacabras. Only this time, the cryptid animal can fly!
The bloody attack, which killed 35 goats, was witnessed by a farm hand who described the mysterious animal as a creature with fangs, claws and wings. The curious thing about this incident is that the goats were killed, but cows, pigs and other farm animals were left untouched.
While the video report below is in Spanish, a translation reveals that the unidentified farm hand is insistent that it was indeed a Chupacabras which killed the goats, apparently its staple food.
In the last several years, hundreds of goats have been reportedly killed by the mythical creature, all drained of blood and ripped apart at the throat.
But this is the first time the legendary animal has been reported to have wings.
Although the witness did not actually see the animal fly, it adds an entirely new layer to the legend of the bloodsucking goat killer. - gather
Chupacabras With Fangs, Wings Blamed For Sheep Deaths In Mexico
Did a legendary chupacabras kill 35 sheep in the Mexican town of Paracuaro? That's what local citizens want to know as they ponder the mysterious deaths of their farm animals.
The Mexican state Michoacan's Diario ABC reported that the unfortunate sheep were slain in the wee hours of March 1 with their bodies displaying claw and tooth injuries, especially under the neck.
One man who was looking after the sheep in their pens said he saw the creature responsible for the attacks. He reportedly said it had fangs, claws and wings.
The enclosure where the sheep lived also included cows, horses and pigs, which apparently weren't injured in the attack.
"Anything mysterious in Mexico is unfortunately labeled a 'chupacabras,' according to Loren Coleman, director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
After looking at the video of the current chupacabras story, Coleman is dubious. "I see one sheep with its neck cut. But despite what is said, all of the sheep are not dead, and the bodies do not show a great deal of mutilation," Coleman wrote in an email to The Huffington Post.
Coleman suggests that the animals succumbed to some kind of disease rather than a predatory attack.
"As to the one eyewitness saying he saw that 'it had fangs, claws and wings, and moved very quickly', well, how big, what color, no drawings?"
Writing in Skeptic.com, Sharon Hill also doubts the chupacabras portion of the story, including the news video connected with it.
"It shows an array of dead animals, some are alive, but only one has a neck gash," Hill wrote. "I see no blood on the others at all."
Hill also notes that people often "tell exaggerated stories or they may very well misperceive what they see."
This is not the first time such a report has emerged from south of the border. Back in September 2010, shepherds in Mexico's Puebla state were baffled after more than 300 goats were decapitated by a culprit that couldn't be tracked.
The chupacabras is reportedly an animal that falls under the category of cryptids -- creatures that haven't been confirmed by science, like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster. Some stories talk of chupacabras that attack livestock and drain the animals of blood.
And, as Hill explained, the addition of wings to the description of chupacabras is not typically reported. - THP

The Laredo UFO crash site photograph (above) with the 'Tomato Man' depicted in the left frame and sketched in the image on the left
The Laredo, Texas UFO Crash is a case in which at least two U.S. military aircraft allegedly chased a 90-foot diameter silver disc-shaped UFO across Texas before watching the object crash approximately 30 miles south-southwest of Laredo, Texas on July 7, 1948. U.S. servicemen were reportedly dispatched from a nearby military base to cordon off the UFO crash site until a special U.S. retrieval team arrived to examine the wreckage and carry it away to a military base in San Antonio, Texas. Supposedly, the badly burned body of a non-human entity was recovered from the crash site.
Much has been written about the strange body found in the Laredo UFO crash remains. He has been derisively called "Tomato Man" by the usual detractors in such cases. The fact is, this body was reportedly photographed in the remains of the UFO that came down in the crash.
U.S. Secretary of State, General George C. Marshall, reportedly intervened directly with the Mexican Government and obtained permission for U.S. Army personnel to recover the remains of a U.S."Special Test Vehicle" that had gone out of control and crashed in Mexico. Col. John W. Bowen, USAF (Retired), then Provost Marshall at Cars-well AFB, was sent over to take immediate charge of cordoning off and controlling the area. The bulk of the residue was picked up on big Army Transporter Trucks and hauled to San Antonio Air Depot for study.
But before removal, a special photographer with a very high security clearance was flown down from White Sands Missile Test Genter in New Mexico in a light weight, special slow-flight photo-liaison airplane. As soon as a complete set of 8"x1O" prints were made, Commander Smith took than and left for Washington and the photo people never saw him again. The source of the two photos furnished claimed he had 40 negatives in all showing this crash scene.
Information was extracted from a series of letters from the original photographer to MARCEN, a fledgling UFO Journal. The following is from that report:
"What that team observed and photographed was an unearthly-shaped craft made up of earthly-looking debris. The basic structure looked as if it could have been built by earthly hands. Things were badly burned by the time the photographers got to the site, but they noticed a complete absence of any type of wiring, rubber, glass, plastics, wood, or paper products.
"Our source noticed what was some supportive structures, which were held together by what appeared to be conventional bolts but when "the mechanics attempted to unscrew them with wrenches, they would not turn at all. They had to be eventually chiseled off and the metal was very hard, The Army was using carbide and diamond drills and diamond saws for the final disassembly. There appeared to be two kinds of metal involved. The first and most abundant could not be cut by the oxy-acety-lene cutting torches brought in. The second immediately began burning when the cutting torches were used on it.
"The structural skin of the craft was apparently blown away in the explosion when the device crashed as the whole valley was littered with fragments of what appeared to be foil, very much like our cigarette packages, only much harder. You could not bend the material-Before anyone could leave the site, the MPs searched them and confiscated all fragments that had been collected.
"As best the source could ascertain, the craft was nearly perfectly circular and was about 90 feet in diameter and about 28 feet in thickness at the center and tapering off to about 5 feet thick at the perimeter.
"There appeared to be 5 or six levels in the center of the craft and they were told some sort of instrumentation and machinery were removed before they had arrived. No propulsion system or mechanism was apparent to the source.
"There was only one body, and it was badly burned at that, still in the structure. Our source photographed it in place in the structure as best he could with the intense heat from the still smouldering remains • and the burning hot sand. After they had taken photos of the entire scene and attempted to use multiple flash guns and a tripod to record the overall scene from a nearby hillside, The Air Force crash and rescue firemen on the scene dragged the body from the craft and put it on a nearby bank so they could photograph it away from the intense heat.
"During their briefing, before photographic work began, one of the team members asked what this was and where it came from. The commander told him not to ask. An Army Captain who assisted them said the little fellow we were photographing did not come from this Earth.
"They only saw and photographed one body but rumors were floating around the site that two or more creatures had been blown out of the vehicle and were captured and taken away injured severely but still alive. Our source said he had no confirmation of this aspect of the case.
"The body they photographed was 4' 6" long. Its head was extremely large for the body size by human proportions. The eyes were gone from the fire but the eyesockets were much larger than in humans and were almost wraparound as if to give 180 degree vision. There were no visible ears or nose but there were openings where ears and nostrils would have been in humans. There were no lips and the mouth was just a sort of slit with no teeth or tongue. There were two legs of normal proportions with short feet having no discernible toes. The two arms were longer than in humans and the hands had four claw-like fingers each with no apparent thumbs. The arms and legs appeared to have joints in approximately the same places as in humans.
"There were two Army doctors that arrived on the morning of July 8th and they made a superficial examination of the body. Cur source listened to them while taking photos of their work. There was no teeth or tongue in the mouth and no apparent duct connecting the mouth to any part of digestive system. There was no reproductive organs visible by human standards. The most remarkable thing he overheard was that no stratified (sic) muscle fibre was discovered in any of the extremities. The tissue, which was gray in color was extremely smooth and the doctors compared its consistency to the tissue of a human female breast. They said that the bone structure in the extremities too was more complicated than in humans and speculated that motion may have been accomplished through the supporting bones instead of muscles. The entire abdomen was encased by a rib-like structure all the way to the hips. The doctors were amazed that the right arm extremity had a metallic joint at the elbow, No external examinations were made at the site.
"The hands each had four digits, longer than human fingers, and they tapered to an almost claw-like appearance at the tip. There were no opposing digits like thumbs. There was no visible evidence of toes and the feet came to a blunt point. The body appeared to have been clothed in a metallic-like material, most of which had been burned away.
"The doctors said there was no evidence of hair growing on the head or other areas of the body as they found no immediate evidence of hair roots. The only fluid found in the apparent veins in the extremities was colorless with a slight green cast and a strong sulfurous odor.
"Our source noticed a strong sulfurous odor and an ozone smell when working around the burning structure.
In November 1979, MARCEN was able to obtain the negative from which a print was made. This original negative was then analyzed by Kodak and other photo laboratories. Eastman Kodak concluded that their analysis indicated a negative that had been processed at least thirty years previously. Their tests also showed no evidence of deliberate hoaxing, at least photographically, in making the negative.
In May 1980 the contact sent a second negative shewing the body it lay in vegetation on a slope. That one was also examined and and found to be equivalent to the first. Now there were two photos.
On August 22, 1980 the photos were released to the Associated Press in two areas and to newspapers and broadcast stations.
After the release, most of the reaction was that this was a hoax though other photo analysis concurred Kodak's previous conclusions. As well, MARCEN was looked upon as the party responsible for initiating the ruse.
The crash site is about 30 miles SSW of Laredo not far from the highway to Mexico City, and near where the Rio Sabinas joins the Rio Salado before they empty into the Rio Grande, in The Sierra Madre Oriental.
Texas Monthly magazine recently included the Laredo UFO Crash on a list of the eight most significant UFO cases in Texas history. Interestingly, this case is said to have occurred almost exactly one year after the more famous Roswell UFO Incident. Rumors about this case first began circulating in the 1950s, although details were not widely known until 1977. This case shares similarities with the Del Rio, Texas UFO Crash of 1955 and the Coyame UFO Incident of 1974, both of which reportedly also occurred along the Texas-Mexico border.
Authors Noe Torres & Ruben Uriarte visit a debris field 6 miles north of Coyame, Mexico, where a small plane slammed into the Chihuahuan Desert, scattering parts over a quarter of a mile. This debris field may be related to the 1974 mid-air crash of a UFO and a small airplane in the Coyame area.
The Coyame UFO Incident was a reported mid-air collision between a UFO and a small airplane. Some conspiracy theorists believe the UFO was retrieved by a United States rapid response team assembled by military and intelligence agencies.
On the evening of 25th August 1974 the US Air Defense radar detected a UFO about to cross into American airspace coming up from the Golf of Mexico. The object was tracked at speeds of up to 2500 mph at an altitude of 75,000 feet. Continuing on this course the object would enter US airspace over Texas.
At first it was thought that the object may be a meteor. However while over Mexico the UFO leveled at 45,000 feet, descended to 20,000 feet, leveling for 5 minutes at each altitude. After tracking the object for about a minute the UFO slowed to 1900 mph and began to descend and turn at the same time. The descent was “stepped” and not curved as a meteor would have been. Also the speed of the object changed, a meteor would not have changed speed on descent, i.e. slowed.
On entering Mexican airspace about 40 miles south of Brownsville, Texas, the US continued to track the object until it disappeared from the radar screens close to the town of Coyame, in the state of Chihuahua.
Two military radar stations tracked the object while it made its descent. When the UFO disappeared from the radar it was assumed that it had just gone below the radars detection range. No one expected this to be a UFO crash landing. The object failed to return onto the radar screens.
Fifty two minutes after the UFO disappeared from radar the first indication that a civilian aircraft had come down in the same vicinity was noted via civilian radio communications. Both the civilian aircraft and UFO had been in the same airspace at the same time. The civilian aircraft had been on route from El Paso to Mexico City and could not have been the same object that was tracked across the Gulf of Mexico.
Early the following morning, after the UFO crash, the Mexican authorities started the search for the missing aircraft. At about 10.30 a.m. a report came over the radio that the wreckage of the plane had been found. At about the same time a further report was of made that a second aircraft was on the ground a couple of miles away from the first. This second aircraft was circular in shape, in one piece and only slightly damaged. A few minutes later a radio silence on all search activity was ordered by the Mexican military.
Radio intercepts were made by the CIA and by maybe two or three other US agencies, it is thought that the intercepts refered to a UFO crash landing rather than to the civilian aircraft going down. This has never been confirmed.
A recovery team that included three Huey helicopters and one Sea Stallion helicopter was assembled. Such was the speed by the US to assemble the team, it is believed this was not the first time such an incident had taken place.
The Mexican government refused requests from the US to allow the recovery team to cross the border to investigate the UFO crash and to assist in the recovery efforts. The Mexican authorities denied the UFO incident, they said they were "investigating a plane crash."
By 9.00 p.m. the following day the US recovery team had been assembled at Fort Bliss along with unmarked helicopters, all in a secured area ready to go to the UFO crash site.
Recognizance flights earlier that day revealed that the debris had been moved from both the UFO crash site and the aircraft's crash site. The UFO had been loaded onto a flatbed truck. The convoy was seen heading south.
The next day the US had to decide whether or not to send the recovery team in. Later recognizance flights revealed that the convoy had stopped in the desert. With no radio activity, unusual considering the circumstances, a lower altitude recognizance flight was ordered. Recognizance photos taken showed the convoy halted, with truck doors open and two bodies lying in the dirt near the trucks.
With this new turn of events the order was given to send in the recovery team. It took the four helicopters more than two hours to reach the convoy, what they found would make a lasting impression. When the team arrived at the scene they found that all of the Mexican team were dead. The majority of the bodies were still in the vehicles.
Members of the US team dressed in biochemical protection suits strapped the UFO onto a cable ready to be hoisted away by the Sea Stallion helicopter. They then proceeded to destroy with explosives, all of the convoys vehicles including the bodies and the remaining wreckage of the civilian aircraft. In under an hour the recovery team had recovered the UFO and “cleaned up” the scene.
On returning over the US border the UFO was transferred to a sealed lorry for transportation to Atlanta, Georgia. Other reports suggest the UFO was transferred to Wright-Patterson AF Base, or possibly an unnamed base. One possible destination may have been Area 51.
The UFO is said to have been a little over 16 feet in diameter and 5 feet high. Looking like two upside down saucers joined together. The disk was silver in color with no visible windows or doors. No means of propulsion could be identified. The craft had sustained some damage in the crash, a hole about a foot across, and a dent about 2 feet across. It is not clear if anything could be seen “inside the hole.”
What caused the deaths of the Mexican recovery team is not known. The US team seems prepared for this kind of incident. The one thing they did not do is transport the bodies of the Mexican team back to the US. This could have either been because they did not have the equipment with them to launch a full scale chemical recovery operation, or the order of the day was “to destroy all evidence”.
The Coyame UFO Incident first came to light in 1992, when an account of the case was mailed anonymously to a number of UFO researchers in the United States and Europe. After the report surfaced in 1992, the story of the Coyame UFO incident lay dormant until 2005, when producers of the cable television series UFO Files, shown on the History Channel, created a show based on the report. The show, called "Mexico's Roswell," was one of several episodes about UFO crashes similar to the 1947 Roswell UFO Incident.
Retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Robert B. Willingham, a former fighter jet pilot says that he chased a UFO across West Texas and watched it crash along the Rio Grande River near Del Rio, Texas. Shortly after, he visited the crash site and saw a metallic object unlike any aircraft he had ever seen “sticking into the side of a hill.” Willingham, 82, a decorated World War II and Korean War veteran discloses his strange 1955 encounter in a book titled The Other Roswell: Ufo Crash On The Texas-Mexico Border written by UFO researchers Noe Torres and Ruben Uriarte.
“It’s one of the most amazing UFO stories I have ever heard,” said Uriarte, a 25-year veteran UFO investigator and director of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) in Northern California. “Rarely do you have such a highly credible eyewitness to an event of this magnitude come forward with information that is guarded so closely by various intelligence agencies.”
Willingham, who lives near Wichita Falls, was one of America’s earliest jet aviators, during the time when the military was transitioning away from propeller-driven planes. It was also a time when UFO sightings had become commonplace throughout the United States, especially in and around top-secret military bases.
“He was flying as part of a group of F-86 fighter jets that were escorting a B-47 bomber across West Texas,” said Noe Torres, a lecturer, researcher, and member of the MUFON chapter in Texas. “It was a Cold War simulation designed to follow the route that bombers would take to reach Russia in the event of a nuclear war.”
A radio message warned Willingham and the others about a fast-moving UFO that was approaching Texas from the northwestern U.S. “Suddenly it came into their view, looking like an intensely bright light – like a bright star seen through a telescope,” Torres said. “It blazed across the sky past them, and everyone in all the planes saw it. But, because of the location of Willingham’s jet, he was in the best position to see what happened after the object flew by.”
Willingham estimated that the object was traveling at 2,000 miles per hour, and he saw it make a sudden 90-degree turn, without slowing down. As the UFO streaked toward the Texas-Mexico border, Willingham received permission to break from the formation and pursue the object in his F-86 fighter. Following the object’s vapor trail, Willingham followed it down to near Del Rio, Texas, where he saw it suddenly begin to wobble and descend rapidly.
As the pilot watched in stunned silence, the UFO plunged toward the Rio Grande River, plowing into the ground just south of Langtry, Texas and digging out a 300-yard long furrow before finally coming to rest alongside a sandy hill. Uriarte said, “Willingham had heard a lot of discussion about UFOs, and now suddenly, he had one down on the ground. As he flew over the awesome scene, he decided that he was going to switch planes and return there as quickly as possibly to look at the thing up close.”
The aviator returned to the scene of the crash a few hours later, according to Uriarte. “They landed the small plane right alongside the crashed UFO and noticed that a large number of Mexican soldiers had already taken control of the crash site. They had cordoned off the area and would not allow Willingham or Perkins to approach the main part of the wreckage. However, what they were able to see and look at was so amazing that it forever changed their lives.”
Before being forced to leave the area by the Mexican military, Willingham picked up a chunk of strange metal debris that was about the size of a man’s hand. He later tried to burn it, cut it, and otherwise deform it, but he was not able to. “It was a piece of something not of this world,” Uriarte said.
Torres and Uriarte are active members of the UFO research community with many years of experience investigating UFO cases in the Southwestern U.S. and Northern Mexico. Their research has appeared on the History Channel's UFO Hunters and UFO Files TV shows. Their first book, Mexico's Roswell: The Chihuahua Ufo Crash published in 2007, received wide critical acclaim and was the basis for a February 2008 episode of UFO Hunters, in which the authors appeared. The authors have appeared frequently on UFO-related TV and radio shows and have spoken at many conferences and events. Source: Phantoms and Monsters
- gather
Larry Flynt offers $1 million for sex dirt on U.S. officials
Porn mogul Larry Flynt in a full page newspaper ad on Sunday offered $1 million for information about the sexual indiscretions of well-known US politicians or government officials.
Flynt’s offer, appearing in the Washington Post newspaper, asked readers to phone their tips to his hotline, or to send an email to a dedicated online address at his “Hustler” porn magazine.
“Do you have information about infidelity, sexual impropriety or corruption concerning a current United States senator, congressperson or prominent government official?” the ad asks in large, bold type.
“Can you provide documented evidence of your claims? Larry Flynt and Hustler Magazine will pay you up to $1 million if we choose to used your material and publish your verified story,” the ad said, adding that all correspondence would be kept “strictly confidential.”
It is just the latest of the famous porn publisher’s sporadic forays into the realm of politics.
Last year he offered disgraced US lawmaker Anthony Weiner a job, after the New York congressman resigned over a tawdry “sexting” scandal.
He also offered a $1 million dollar reward last year for anyone who could produce proof of illicit sexual liaisons by then-presidential contender Rick Perry.
Flynt has fought several prominent legal battles involving the First Amendment — the right to free speech guaranteed in the US Constitution — and has unsuccessfully run for public office.
He won a seminal free speech case in 1988 before the US Supreme Court.
That case “Hustler Magazine v. Falwell” came after he was sued by prominent US reverend Jerry Falwell in 1983 over an offensive ad in his porn publication that parodied the televangelist. - rawstory

"I was attacked by the radar of a UFO"
Ewa Beach, Hawaii - 8/15/2005 - unedited: I was living in Iroquois point in Honolulu Hawaii. I came home late at night at around 3am. I went to my room upstairs and sat down on my bed. I had in my room a small radio but this was shut off. I began thinking about things until the event happened. I started hearing a radar in my head.It sounded like a radar from a satellite or a navy ship.I then stood up and said Does anyone else hear that!My sister was sleeping in her room and no one heard me, because everyone was asleep and my door was shut.I sat back down on my bed as the radar continued.I then looked to my right where my window was and saw very bright lights flashing from a u.f.o. extremely close to my window. It began flashing the colors red, yellow, blue, and green simultaneously. As i witnessed this i stood up on my feet and began to walk towards the window. It was then that there was no doubt in my heart and in my mind that this was a genuine u.f.o..I put my hand on the string to lift up the blinds but was sure that i would be traumatized severely if i lifted up those blinds, because of the fact that this u.f.o. was only 5 feet away from my window.I went back to my bed and sat down. The sound of the radar grew louder. I felt as though i was being challenged with this radar.I looked right at the u.f.o. and began to try very hard to make it bow down to me with telekinesis. This did nothing to the u.f.o.. The one who controlled this u.f.o. and this radar decided to end this attempt. Within 3.7 seconds of me trying to do this. the radar jumped extremely loud. I immediately covered my ears and began screaming out of pain from this sound as i fell on my back on the bed.All of these events, i swear to you happened and the attack lasted 8 seconds. The radar stopped and as soon as it stopped my little radio which was turned off came on.The u.f.o. then left. The song lets just kiss and say goodbye the ub40 cover was playing and was this aliens message to me.After 12 seconds of hearing this song i ran to my sisters room across the hallway.I knocked on her door and told her what had happened.I was shaking and she did not believe me.I stayed downstairs after this and continued shaking the rest of the night.I could not go to sleep that night and will never be the same. - MUFON CMS

The New and Improved 'Ten Commandments'
The religious rules, which Christians believe were etched onto tablets by God and given to Moses, have been modified to use up-to-date language and principles.
Inspired by last year’s riots, the new vows include “manage your anger”, “know God” and “catch your breath” and are understood to be used in more than 600 churches in Britain.
The original “thou shalt not steal” has become “prosper with a clear conscience”, and the lengthy “thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain” becomes “take God seriously”.
The commandments, designed by popular evangelical preacher J John, have been praised by religious leaders for bringing practical advice to modern congregations.
Using short, simple language interspersed with slang, the new rules have now been released on a DVD called “just10 for churches”, aimed at providing guidance.
The tenth commandment, for example, has altered the Biblical “thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's” to just “find contentment.”
“Thou shalt not commit adultery” have been edited to “affair-proof your relationships”, and “honour thy father and thy mother” has altered to “keep the peace with your parents”.
J John claims his commandments enable "everyone to understand God's timeless principles on how we should live" and said he was inspired to write them by last summer’s riots.
He said: "Along with a lot of people I think about the way that we live nowadays and what leads people to do the sort of things that happened in the riots - whether or not we have forgotten something about a good way of living."
The Reverend Paul Roberts, 54, vicar of St John the Evangelist in Old Coulsdon, Surrey, which dates back to 1210 AD, is among those using the new commandments.
He said: "It's basically a way of presenting the Ten Commandments to help people connect with them in a positive way.
"Rather than just seeing them as a list of things you shouldn't do, it is meant to help people live as God intended for our good.
"Unlike the dos and don'ts most people imagine when quizzed about the maker's instructions, the message is meant to be both a challenge and an encouragement."
Wayne Dulson, 40, minister of Loughton Baptist Church, Essex said: "People really engaged with the Ten Commandments in a new and fresh way.
"People now see these commandments not as a set of rules but as a template for living so that we experience God's best for our lives.
"All ten commandments were extremely challenging, especially as the series helped us see them in the context of modern day living.
"People keep telling me how just10 has made them think much more about how they live their lives and also how much they have learnt about the commandments as they found out things they never knew before."
Steve Jenkins, spokesman for the Church of England, said they supported new ways of communicating and added: "The Book Of Common Prayer is very clear that the faith needs to be taught afresh in every generation."
Even former Conservative Shadow Home Secretary Ann Widdecombe, who left the Church of England after objecting to women priests, has backed J John's rules.
"I'd say it's not a patch on Moses but not a bad set of rules really," she said.
"What he's trying to do is offer a modern take on the original to explain it to a modern audience, which is fine as long as he doesn't dispense with the original." - telegraph

Angler's Whopping Tuna Catch
A fisherman is waiting to hear if he has reeled in a new world record after catching a whopping tuna fish in New Zealand.
The Pacific bluefin weighed in at more than 335kg - and if approved by the International Game Fish Association it is the largest of its kind ever snapped up on a rod and reel.
But what makes the catch even more of a feat is that Nathan Adams caught it from a six-metre tin boat.
"It was pretty cool because when I first started fishing my dream was to catch a bluefin tuna exactly like that," said Mr Adams.
He said the fish was "pretty hard" to reel in because the line "was right on the point of the line breaking".
The 42-year-old angler and member of Muriwai Sports Fishing Club caught the monster fish near Houhora, off the east coast of the country's North Island.
He is hoping his wife Lisa will allow him to hang up a cast that is being made of his jaw-dropping catch which was towed back to shore and shipped off to a chiller.
But she may take some convincing, having already said that "it will be like mounting a sofa" onto a wall in their lounge.
The Pacific bluefin was not the only prize-winning catch of the 2012 New Zealand Sport Fishing Council National competition.
Just days later, Mr Adam's friend Alan Langdon reeled in a 358kg black marlin near Ahipara on the west coast.
Mark Nobilo, president of Muriwai Sports Fishing Club, said: "It's pretty awesome, pretty special, especially for our little club."
Last year, a giant bluefin tuna fetched a record $396,000 (£251,000) in auction at the world's largest wholesale fish market in Tokyo, Japan. - sky

The body of Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden was not buried at sea, according to leaked emails of intelligence firm Stratfor, as revealed by WikiLeaks.
Stratfor’s vice-president for intelligence, Fred Burton, believes the body was “bound for Dover, [Delaware] on [a] CIA plane” and then “onward to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Bethesda [Maryland],” an email says.
The official version is that the body of Al-Qaeda’s top man, who was killed by a US raid in Pakistan on May 2, 2011, was buried at an undisclosed location at sea in a proper Muslim ceremony.
"If body dumped at sea, which I doubt, the touch is very Adolph Eichman like. The Tribe did the same thing with the Nazi's ashes," Burton commented in another email. Eichman was one of the masterminds of the Holocaust by Nazi Germany. He was captured by Mossad agents in Argentina and, tried in Israel, found guilty and executed in 1962. His body was cremated and his ashes were scattered at sea over the Mediterranean.
"Eichmann was seen alive for many months on trial before being sentenced to death and executed. No one wanted a monument to him so they cremated him. But i dont know anyone who claimed he wasnt eicjhman [sic]. No comparison with suddenly burying him at sea without any chance to view him which i doubt happened [sic]," Stratfor CEO George Friedman replied.
"The US Govt needs to make body pics available like the MX's do, with OBL's pants pulled down, to shout down the lunatics like Alex Jones and Glenn Beck," Burton says in another message.
In another missive Burton says Osama’s body “is a crime scene and I don’t see the FBI nor DOJ letting that happen.”
WikiLeaks began publishing Stratfor emails in late February. The archive was obtained by the hacker group Anonymous, which successfully attacked one of the firm’s servers. More than 5 million emails were apparently stolen.
Stratfor is a US-based intelligence firm called the “shadow CIA” by some media. Among its clients are several US agencies and many big companies. The company relies on paid tips from informants placed in high circles of business, government and security all around the world. - RT

Was Osama Bin Laden Really Buried At Sea?
Osama Bin Laden was apparently buried in the waters of the north Arabian sea, but internal emails from intelligence service Stratfor, obtained by hacker group Anonymous and posted by WikiLeaks suggest otherwise.
According to official accounts, he was wrapped in a sheet and “eased” off the decks of the U.S.S Carl Vinson just hours after he was killed on May 2 in a United States-led operation, in accordance with Muslim tradition.
But a leaked email from Stratfor vice president for intelligence Fred Burton, sent on 2 May 2011, at 5.26am states: “Reportedly, we took the body with us. Thank goodness.”
A subsequent email on the same day at 5.51am states: “Body bound for Dover, DE on CIA plane. Than (sic) onward to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Bethesda.”
US forces said Bin Laden was killed in a siege at his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, on 2 May 2011, just after 1am local time.
At 6.26am Burton wrote: “If body dumped at sea, which I doubt, the touch is very Adolph Eichman like. The Tribe did the same thing with the Nazi's ashes. We would want to photograph, DNA, fingerprint, etc.
“His body is a crime scene and I don't see the FBI nor DOJ letting that happen.”
The reference to Eichmann regards the cremation of the Nazi’s body following his capture, trial and execution, in order to prevent any memorial or shrine being built.
Stratfor CEO George Friedman appears to agree, noting: “Eichmann was seen alive for many months on trial before being sentenced to death and executed. No comparison with suddenly burying him at sea without any chance to view him which I doubt happened.”
By 1.36pm Burton writes again: “Body is Dover bound, should be here by now.”
The conversation takes a puzzling turn at 3.11pm, with Burton stating: “Down and dirty done, He already sleeps with the fish…”
A note adds: “It seems to me that by dropping the corpse in the ocean, the body will come back to haunt us… gotta be violating some sort of obscure heathen religious rule that will inflame islam?
"The US Govt needs to make body pics available like the MX’s do, with OBL’s pants pulled down, to shout down the lunatics like Alex Jones and Glenn Beck.”
The exchange casts a mystery over just what happened to the body of the Al Qaeda leader.
The thread of emails - under the heading The Global Intelligence Files - was published by WikiLeaks on 27 February 2012 and contains correspondence dated between July 2004 and late December 2011.
The site states: "They reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal's Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defence Intelligence Agency.
"The emails show Stratfor's web of informers, pay-off structure, payment laundering techniques and psychological methods."
The New American reports: “The release of the Stratfor emails will likely revive the debate over just what happened to bin Laden’s body and consequently, whether or not US forces actually killed the terrorist mastermind in the first place.
“Secrecy prior to the raid is understandable; a refusal to produce the key piece of evidence that the raid was successful, on the other hand, is quite curious indeed."
According to White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, a member of the military “read prepared religious remarks” that were translated into Arabic at the burial ceremony.
The lair where Bin Laden lived in secrecy before the alleged final stand off with US Commandoes was razed to the ground last month.
Bin Laden moved into the three-storey house in 2005 and lived there until it was stormed by Navy Seals in May 2011.
The house was located just half a mile from one of Pakistan’s top army training academies, which caused embarrassment for the country’s intelligence services, AP reported.
US officials say there was no evidence senior Pakistan officials were aware of Bin Laden’s location.
Residents living nearby told the Independent they had thought the building would be turned into a mosque, school or clinic.
Shah Mohammad said: “I think they should build a mosque. If you build a school there, people will just associate it with Bin Laden.”
A source had told the paper demolition was on the cards ahead of the event, adding: “There is an issue, in our culture, of such places becoming shrines.” - THP
NOTE: honestly, I don't really care what they did with the body. But I also doubt that it was buried at sea as claimed. I imagine bin-Laden's corpse is squirrel away with the collection of dead aliens, Bigfoot and whatever else. Lon
