Esoterica: Whitney Houston's Ghost Haunts Mom -- Evil Spirit Attacks -- Meat Loaf's Paranormal Life
Whitney Houston's distraught mother haunted by her ghost
In a letter handed to her friends and family, Whitney Houston's distraught mother has said that she is being haunted by the ghost of her daughter.
Grieving Cissy Houston says her doorbell has been ringing mysteriously since the day Whitney died, but 78-year-old insists that she is not scared and is taking comfort from the spirit.
Meanwhile close friends of the family said Cissy is in danger of becoming "obsessed" with feelings that the songbird is still with her.
They warned it is a sign the frail grandmother-of-six is suffering from "uncontrollable grief and shock" that could spiral into a mental breakdown, the Daily Star reported.
Cissy could not bring herself to speak at her daughter's funeral held eight days ago.
Instead, she handed mourners a letter, which told how she believes the singer's spirit called at her door the day her body was found.
Cissy also revealed in the heart-rending message how God tried to warn her that her daughter was going to die.
The letter reads as "On Saturday, before I found out about your transition, my doorbell rang."
"I called the concierge to tell him someone was ringing my doorbell. He checked the cameras and told me that no one was there.
"You promised me you were coming to spend time with me after the Grammys. I believe the spirits allowed you to come after all," Cissy wrote.
Houston, 48, was found dead in her bath at the Beverly Hilton hotel in LA on the eve of the Grammys after a suspected drugs and booze binge.
Cissy added in her note that she felt spirits were trying to tell her how the singer was suffering in the months before her death.
"I never told you that when you were born the Holy Spirit told me that you would not be with me long. For two months now I have been depressed, crying, lonesome and sad not knowing why," she added.
A pal of Cissy said, "She feels Whitney is with her since this doorbell-ringing episode. She constantly talks to her as if she is still a real presence with real power." - timesofindia

Meat Loaf's Ghosts: Singer Reveals Experiences With Paranormal Activity
Meat Loaf ain't afraid of no ghost. In an interview with the Shortlist, the singer, actor and reality-show contestant explained that he likes to be addressed as "Meat" and that he's had several experiences with paranormal activity.
When asked about his views on the afterlife, Meat replied, "I believe there's something when you die because there are ghosts."
"I've seen them, I've been around them," he clarified. "Some are just energy left behind, and some are intelligent."
Meat delved further into his interactions with supernatural beings claiming, "I've had conversations with them using a K2 meter, which lets them answer 'yes' or 'no.' I chased one across the room once. And when we were making 'Bat Out of Hell' I saw a blonde girl in a white dress. I went downstairs and told the guys, 'There's a groupie up on the balcony,' and they go, 'How would she get up there?' Everybody went up and no one was there."
On a related note, Meat admitted that "Groupies cursed at me because I wouldn't take them home," so at least there is no chance of him mistakenly having sex with a ghost. He also "did acid and hung around everybody like Hendrix, Daltrey, Joplin, The [Grateful] Dead," so maybe his visions came from the drug and/or the spirits of dead rockers? - spinner

The Old Mill at Somerville
The "old powder-house," as the round stone tower is called that stands on a gravel ridge in Somerville, Massachusetts, is so named because at the outbreak of the Revolutionary War it was used temporarily as a magazine; but long before that it was a wind-mill. Here in the old days two lovers held their tryst: a sturdy and honest young farmer of the neighborhood and the daughter of a man whose wealth puffed him with purse-pride. It was the plebeian state of the farmer that made him look at him with an unfavorable countenance, and when it was whispered to him that the young people were meeting each other almost every evening at the mill, he resolved to surprise them there and humiliate, if he did not punish them. From the shadow of the door they saw his approach, and, yielding to the girl's imploring, the lover secreted himself while she climbed to the loft. The flutter of her dress caught the old man's eye and he hastened, panting, into the mill. For some moments he groped about, for his eyes had not grown used to the darkness of the place, and hearing his muttered oaths, the girl crept backward from the stair.
She was beginning to hope that she had not been seen, when her foot caught in a loose board and she stumbled, but in her fall she threw out her hand to save herself and found a rope within her grasp. Directly that her weight had been applied to it there was a whir and a clank. The cord had set the great fans in motion. At the same moment a fall was heard, then a cry, passing from anger into anguish. She rushed down the stair, the lover appeared from his hiding-place at the same moment, and together they dragged the old man to his feet. At the moment when the wind had started the sails he had been standing on one of the mill-stones and the sudden jerk had thrown him down. His arm caught between the grinding surfaces and had been crushed to pulp. He was carried home and tenderly nursed, but he did not live long; yet before he died he was made to see the folly of his course, and he consented to the marriage that it had cost him so dear to try to prevent. Before she could summon heart to fix the wedding-day the girl passed many months of grief and repentance, and for the rest of her life she avoided the old mill. There was good reason for doing so, people said, for on windy nights the spirit of the old man used to haunt the place, using such profanity that it became visible in the form of blue lights, dancing and exploding about the building. - Myths and Legends of Our Own Land

Gambia: 'Evil Spirit' Attacks Students At Ming Ndaw School
Ming Ndaw Upper and Senior Secondary School in Farato had to close around 10am Wednesday after many of its female pupils started fainting. Many believe the strange phenomenon was caused by an 'evil spirit' that has been tormenting young girls in schools across the country for some years now.
The phenomenon, which started in schools in the provinces such as Armitage SSS some years ago, is characterised by screams and fainting fits. Almost a hundred female pupils were affected at Ming Ndaw School Wednesday. The incident started earlier on Tuesday morning with 30 pupils initially affected. Some of the affected pupils were screaming and running away from people. It was very difficult for anyone to control them, as they seem to posses extra power and strength.
Speaking to the Daily Observer at the school premises shortly after the incident, Babucarr A Suwareh, the regional education director, Region Two described the incident as shocking and unfortunate. He said he received a telephone call from the principal of Ming Ndaw Upper Basic School Tuesday, who informed him that some pupils were collapsing at the school.
Suwareh said he immediately sent a team from his office that included Gibril Bah, the Principal Education officer at Region Two to go and investigate the matter, which they did, and found out that 30 pupils were affected. He added that the school was then closed for that day.
He continued: "The following day, while I was driving past the school, I saw a good number of students standing outside the school. I stopped and entered the school and all what I could see again were students falling and screaming on the ground all over the school campus. As I approached to help, I later discovered that more and more students were falling and the number was increasing.
I then called Lamin Sanneh, the governor of West Coast Region to inform him about the incident. At that juncture, I took about three students in my car to Brikama Health Centre and upon arrival, I met the governor at the health centre. We later came together with a number of doctors and nurses to the scene and efforts to control the affected [pupils] became very minimal as the information spread quickly and parents ran to the school to take away their children back home."
Suwareh disclosed that he once had a meeting with the school's Parent Teachers Association (PTA) on the issue. He said they agreed that the phenomenon has something to do with spiritual powers, and so only the female pupils are affected. He said whenever the 'evil spirit' attacks someone, he or she becomes very powerful, making it difficult for three or even four people to control him or her.
He recalled a similar incident that happened sometime back in Janjangburreh in the CRR, while President Jammeh was on a nationwide tour. Suwareh said the Gambian leader personally intervened and assisted some of the pupils who were affected. He stressed that the solution to the problem is not to transfer children to other schools or to close the school.
His words: "If you transfer them to another school, you are trying to spread the problem as it happened in CRR. When all those who were affected were transferred to other schools, they were affected in the same school. Now, we do not want a repeat of that here. I therefore urge all parents whose children are either affected or not to refrain from doing so."
The regional director said he plans to invite Islamic scholars today, to the school to recite the Holy Quran and give out charity. He also used the opportunity to appeal to parents to change the dress code of their children from short to long dress with their heads covered. "Their skirts need to be thoroughly looked into as many of the female students' uniforms are very short," he said. - allafrica
NOTE: many people simply dismiss the beliefs from the African sub-continent... but I have seen the effects of some of these rituals that were used against people in other cultures. In fact, we have a current case in London with these circumstances...Lon
