Your Take: Government UFO / Alien Disinformation Campaigns
The upcoming release of Mark Pilkington's book Mirage Men: An Adventure into Paranoia, Espionage, Psychological Warfare, and UFOs has stirred up a lot of sentiment and conjecture within the UFO community.Pilkington attempts to prove that the U.S. government has been conducting top-secret UFO conspiracy campaigns designed not to hide UFOs but publicize the phenomenon which, in turn, fuels and creates UFO and extraterrestrial myths. Strange flying objects, alien abductions, crashed spacecraft, clandestine underground bases, etc....supposedly concocted by the U.S. government and military.
These 'disinformation conspiracy' theories have been around for decades but there has been a recent surge in the discussion, stoked by the numerous blogs and forums only a mouse click away.
So...what are your thoughts on these UFO/alien disinformation conspiracy theories? I'd really like to present your arguments and speculation on this subject. One question for Mr. Pilkington , in who's pocket are you ? And projecting the egomaniacal US government to have this so-called special & close contacts with the space travelers is laughable at best , hah ! Then why is is that they shoot lazer weapons at them , yet the ETs haven't reciprocated with the same aggression
towards them ? The best answer is from a crop circle message of 2001 in which the ETs warn the rest of us against deceptiveness of some . At least the Bulgarian gov't & their sponsored scientists are trying to communicate with them in a positive way . And how does Mr. Pilkington explains the the entities constant presence on Earth as documented in many olden masterpiece paintings or ancient cave paintings or in the very ancient written accounts in some advanced cultures of the times or the Biblical descriptions of this phenomena that the Hebrew peoples attributed to G-d's presence through the angelic visitations , etc. ? Of course he won't touch on this as he's more concerned with misinformation on this subject ! Isn't it the same denials we've heard for ages apropos the CIA/NSA's Psychic Spy Programs existence ? Yet only recently the American Chronical has reported an article to confirm that in fact CIA's self admission that such program is still in use ! So , I for one does NOT buy-in into Mr. Pilkington's DIS-information tactic , HAH !
