Dealing With The Unknown

NOTE: The following is a very interesting email I received today from 'Seeing Things in Ohio'. BTW, I'm going to hold off on the 'Humanoid / Cryptid Encounters Reports' series for a bit...but I promise to resume soon. Now, let's see if we can help this reader with their concerns...Lon

Dear Mr. Strickler,

"I will be upfront an honest with you. I am one of those who want to believe. However, I am also one of those who is very skeptical. I have read the books of Eric Von D, Robert Bauval and others. Mainstream media has tickled my interests in DaVinci and the Free Masons. And for over 15 yrs or so (now being in my early 30's) I have always had a love of Mayan, Inca, and ancient Egyptian societies. Maybe a year or so ago while watching something on NatGeo/SyFy/History Channel, I was browsing the WWW and came across your blog. I have followed on and off since then, and with your posts of the little lizard man and most recently your post of the "Red Man", they kinda hit home for me. With "V", I felt that if this person could come forward then I know I am not alone and they may also know that they are not alone in having an experience."

"I was born and raised in NE Ohio. I had a normal upbringing (or what some would call). Parents are still married, went to church on Sundays, had a dog, picket fence, all those things. I did a little marijuana in high school, I rarely drink, and there is only one reported case of a mental illness in my family."

"When I was 12-13 yrs old, I remember having a very vivid dream where I was sitting in my living room watching TV. While watching TV (which in my dream I was viewing myself in 3rd person) something made me want to look out through the dining room and out through the large sliding glass door into the backyard. When I turned my head, it was completely dark outside, and then in almost a comedic way of film, this giant moon slid up from below the horizon (like from the 9 to 12 position on a clock). The moon was enormous, almost filling the sky and was brilliantly white. As I sit dumbfounded in my dream staring out the back window, something pulls my legs out from under me while I'm sitting on them on the floor. This startled me but while in my dream I am still staring at the moon this voice from what I can only assume was in my head said, "its almost over"."

"This frightened me horribly. So much that I woke up hot and sweaty only to find my bedroom door partially open with a small, dark figure closing the door and saying without moving his mouth "don't tell"."

"I don't recall really any of the small humanoid's features. I just recall him being about 2-2.5 ft tall and seeing the figures darker than gray complexion and nothing moved on its face when I heard it speak. Even to this day this incident is one of the most vivid memories that I have."

(Seeing your photo of the reptile man was nearly like pulling out a photo of my head from that past memory)

"I mentioned nothing of this occurrence until a just a few years ago to a close friend. I never even told my wife."

"Well I went off to college, came back home, got married, had a couple of kids and just over a year ago bought my parents house. On and off since the encounter/dream/incident (whatever you would like to call it because I don't) I get this feeling like I'm being observed. Not the kind of being watched where you are sitting up at night unable to sleep and you feel like someone is watching you through the window. More like something is waiting for me as I walk into rooms and sitting in the car with me while I drive to work. This was only in small increments and I never felt it to be constant. But since moving back home, I am feeling it more so."

"My son is the fun age of 5 and recently started talking about some guy he met here at home named 'Kyle Foker'. He tells my wife and I that he has seen him all over the house. Yes he is a child, with an imagination. But while giving him the 20 questions over his new friend I am rattling my brain on what TV show/commercial/movie he could have come up with this, and so far have come up with nothing."

"While that is going on I was in the kitchen just a week or so ago talking to my mom and for some reason I felt compelled to look the other way and I saw a dark figure. This figure that I saw had an upside down triangle for a torso and a rectangular block for a head. When I turned to look I could tell that it looked at me because while my brain was trying to comprehend what I just had seen, I could see that the block head sort of rotated and proceeded to take an immediate left and zip its way through my stairs that go up to our bedrooms."

"From everything that I know, no one has died on this property. (My grandfather that lived with my parents and I (at my current location) for a few years while from the time I was six until I was in high school became ill with Alzheimer's and later passed away having a complication from a stroke at a hospice center.) But I am afraid partially for my sanity but more for my family. Although no one has been hurt in any way, I can't help to think like a father/husband and want to protect my family from any possible threat. But my issue here is that what the hell am I dealing with? Possible alien thing, spirit, mental illness, or D: all of the above? Am I seeing one thing and my son is seeing something else?"

'Any help you could lend would be greatly appreciated."

Sincerely,

Seeing Things in Ohio

Yes, all of the above is possible. Everything from Alien to a multitude of possible entities from a spiritual realm/dimension, to your imagination, to group psychosis. Hopefully you go and solicit as many opinions as possible before making up your own mind. Problem is; Is that no one knows for sure. Then, after thinking about everything people here and elsewhere tell you; you have alot to puzzle over. Just reading your story makes me think about shadow people; And if so, what kind, who and what are they; it makes me think of some type of spirit, and if it's that, what kind?; It also makes me think Extra or Ultra terrestrial/dimensional species. There are so many unknowns. Hopefully you find some good advice and are able to try something out. Thanks for sharing.

We'll always be locked into our own perspectives, unless of course we learn to astral project. I've had visits from a dream demon that looks like that reptoid drawing too!

The closest conjecture would be that these beings are watching us and not interfering but perhaps as a gradual experiment in how we react to their presence, visiting households and spooking people just to see what happens.

I would ask your son what he thinks of this visitor, Kyle Foker, is he scared or are they friends, or is he just an apparition. If he has no fixed opinion or emotion, that's a clue to something, possible memory erasure? Don't get nervous! I'm sure if anything these beings will ensure your safety, just because they're waiting for something to happen. What were your emotions towards the creature in your dream as a chil?

Don't rule out DNA projections! Whoever "spiked" our DNA is seeing how its different strains are coming along, like a gardener. Feel safe in the protection of your gardener. These beings are happy to mirror any emotion you throw their way, usually. They literally eat emotions for breakfast, so it's better to treat them like welcome guests than the bogeyman.

My guess is either you or your son "called" in some visitors via subconscious telekenetic ability. It occasionally happens, usually when they're asleep, dreaming, they accidentally create a little interdimensional cosmic loophole.

Of course, all the above should also be taken with a grain of salt. Can any of us really trust the beings who tell us these things? At any rate, they love to laugh, creating almost deliberately absurd situations to derail us from evolving at the speed we'd prefer.

For over a year I have been posting to Phantoms and Monsters Wiki about my own experiences under the title "1954: Visions of Murder". I have tried every numerological calculation and read up on the mind games interdimensional beings play against us humans. My impression is that the beings involved had a plan, but it started to fall through. The only reason it is being continued is because it must be done with before something else is able to happen. I know what, where, who, and even how, but not when. Until the whole business is done for, I am essentially under house arrest; I must live here in my childhood home to be a witness to "everything" when it goes down. My sympathies are with anyone who is suffering oppression by interdimensional beings. When do we get our own lives back?

I was struck immediately by the possibility that, at least as the source of your vivid dream experience, you may have been the victim not of paranormal attack, but of all-too-real earthly sexual molestation. I'm not a psychiatrist or a psychologist, but I have investigated many cases of sexual assault of a minor. I have personally interviewed, as well as read the transcripts of interviews of many sexually molested minors, both as minors and as adults many years after the assaults occurred. So I have some familiarity with the area of child sexual assault.

Your description reminds me of a sexual assault case because of these details: 1) your legs were pulled our from under you; 2) you heard a voice, which you presumed was in your head, tell you, "It's almost over"; 3) you found yourself frightened, hot and sweaty; and 4) a figure entered your bedroom, and closed the door telling you, "Don't tell".

These details are so common they could come from a classic case of sexual assault of a minor. The legs are quite often involved in a sexual assault, whether from the necessity of seizing and securing the child, or from forcing his/her legs apart.

Sexual predators often tell their minor victims that "it" will soon be over, usually in hopes of achieving or maintaining the child's silence or even "cooperation".

Also, molesters routinely tell children, "Don't tell". The predator thus makes use of the inherent moral authority of an adult (even more authoritative in the case of a parent or other older relative) over a child to achieve the child's silence. Or perhaps when the child is told "don't tell", s/he immediately understands the physical threat inherent in that statement by an older, bigger, stronger adult.

Sexual molesters of children are among the world's most accomplished manipulators, and they use guilt, shame or children's own sweet and forgiving natures against them. Thus, the "don't tell" could be just a plea for "help", playing on a child's natural innocence and sympathy, and a child's ordinary reluctance to injure anyone.

Finally, being hot and sweaty could be either the result of a physical struggle, or the simple PHYSIOlogical response of extreme psychological distress present in almost every sexual assault.

Our minds try to protect us from trauma, and often erect a facade of false or altered memories. These "re-written" memories are thus used as tools to smooth-out the dangerous; razor-sharp edges left by the actual events. This "defusing" of incredibly painful, often devastating memories of sexual traumas suffered in childhood is a classic response of our brains to psychic wounds, taken to protect us.

But it doesn't always work that way. Sometimes sharp places remain; sometimes the "dream" wears off and the real memory starts banging around, asking to be let out.

I have to wonder if that might be happening with you. In one sense a repressed childhood memory of sexual trauma would be "good news". At least something you have a good chance of eventually fixing, and so winding up healed instead of just "repaired".

So I suggest finding a psychologist/psychiatrist specializing in childhood sexual trauma and recovered memory. It would be a plus to find someone who is open to the paranormal as well, but that makes the search tougher. I really do hope you consider the possibility you suffered sexual molestation as a child.

Otherwise options are limited. Or maybe not limited - maybe there are TOO MANY options and it's hard to know which way to go. If you are really seeing little beings with rectangular heads and inverted triangle torsos, then (assuming a geometry cartoon isn't missing its animated character) I have no idea what steps you take. All I can say for sure is there is far more in heaven and earth, etc.

God bless you though. And good luck.
