Multiple Sphere UFOs - Santa Cruz, California - 4/11/09

Date: 11/04/2007 Time: 10:13 to 10:15 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Santa Cruz, CA, USANumber of witnesses: 1 Number of Objects: Multiple. Shape of Objects: Spheres.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Two separate sightings: As I watched the clouds getting nearer, I noticed a bunch of white spheres flittering about, in and out of the leading edge of the clouds. I ran into the house and grabbed my camera which is equipped with a 70-300mm telephoto lens and captured these images. The spheres were at different altitudes and traveling at different speeds, making impossible maneuvers for any conventional aircraft to accomplish.

They were lining-up in front of the cloud's edge before getting a "running start" when entering the clouds, gaining speed very fast in a short distance. Sometimes one at a time, sometimes several at once, like they were competing. Then emerge slowly through the top of the clouds and back over the front edge. And then go through the process again.I observed this for about 5 minutes and then they entered the clouds and didn't emerge. Altitude was much to high for our seagulls and I can distinguish birds from animate objects. These were definitely round, didn't have wings and were traveling too fast to be birds. Judging from the altitude, I would guess their size to be between 2-3 meters in diameter.

I must confess to being a tweaky bit cautious about these images.

First of all the guy refers to a "bunch of white spheres", yet all we get is images of the same, distinctly singular 'sphere'; and even then, it's not a sphere but more apple shaped, (French golden delicious, to be exact).

But what makes me even more suspicious is, if you watch the cloud as the 'sphere' whizzes by, its uppermost edge 'morphs' in a subtle but jumpily erratic and distinctly irregular fashion consistent with stop motion style photography.

Based on personal experience, though, I know from the evidence of my own eyes such white spheres do exist and do, on occasions, behave in the way described.

I witnessed the exact same phenomenon in Las Vegas, roughly 2.5 years ago. Spherical objects bobbing in and out of a distant cloud. I counted four objects that focused their maneuvers on one cloud, but they arrived at said cloud from different directions. The event I witnessed had a duration of about 30 minutes, culminating with all four objects disappearing within the cloud, and never "coming out". Clouds have always been difficult to judge distance-wise, but I estimate the obects were 30-40 feet in diameter, and about 2-4 miles away. Absolutely no way it was balloons, flying debris, birds, ordinary 'airplanes', helicopters, or any other conventional aircraft; their immediate direction changes were impossible, as were their immediate stops and hovering.

I live in Pacific Grove, CA on the opposite side of Monterey Bay as Santa Cruz. I grew u pin a house on top of the hill overlooking the ocean and my parents still live there. From that house with a pair of binoculars and occasion the naked eye, a person can see mirages of lights, buildings, ships and boats, and car headlights on the horizon and across the bay. It actually appears that there are floating lights over the ocean. they can come and go, or vary in intensity. Sometimes they are moving, sometimes they are not. These mirages are reflected lights from a harbor in Hong Kong. I am amazed every time I see them. I am sure this has been happening all around teh world since before we first saw them forty years ago. This phenomena is found throughout the world under various conditions. This is yet but another. I only say that because they look similar to what I have seen over the years.
