Dark-Cloaked Being In Our Apartment!
I have never tried to contact someone before about this, but here it goes. It's not a traditional "alien" story, but I am interested in seeing if anyone else has seen what I did. When I was 7 or 8 years old, I lived on Oahu in Hawaii, in the Salt Lake City area, which is located next to the base on that island.We lived in a very populated area in a 12 level apartment building. It was a two bedroom - my parents room was on the other side of the apartment. One night I had a bad dream and got up in the middle of the night to sleep in my parent's bed.
Only my dad was there - I don't remember where my mother was. At some point in the earlier morning hours I had to go to the bathroom. I wasn't scared - I was just sleepy. The bathroom was adjoined to the bedroom. As I walked out of the bathroom toward the bed, something in the corner of my eye caught my attention and I looked up and saw a figure in a dark cloak walking past the doorway.
It saw me at the same time. We both were startled, and just stared at each other for a moment. I was scared out of my mind. I couldn't move or scream. One thing that was impressed on me was how little it was. It was my height.
It was wearing a dark cloak that covered its head and was clasped at the neck. Inside the cloak was pitch-black (so much that it seemed unnatural), and two large oval slanted (typical) RED glowing eyes was all I could see.
We stared at each other for a moment, then it jumped out of view. I had no idea what I saw nor what to do - I was completely freaked out and my dad was lying there asleep. So I did what most children do when they are scared - I laid down on the bed, and pulled the covers over my head.
It seemed like I might be imagining it as it happened, but I felt someone pushing down on the bed in a circle around me, and then last pushing on my pillow. I remembered everything very clearly, but didn't tell anyone for a very long time.
It never crossed my mind that it was an alien until much later. I thought it was some kind of demon. There are a lot of stories about evil little people in Hawaii, and I figured that was what I saw. But I met a lady who heard my story and told me about the greys, and the fact that I surprised and shocked it is what I can't get over. She said that it was probably expecting me to still be in my bed and that it was there for my father.

I am 58 yrs old and had a very similar experience in Gary, IN when I was 6 or 7. I slept in a room with 1 brother and 3 sisters and awoke one night and immediately saw a black figure with eyes moving between my bunk bed and my sisters bed. I pulled the covers over my head and watched it with squinting eyes thinking it would think I was asleep. It stopped and made eye contact with me and winked and smiled. Then it bent down and did something to my sisters and looked at me again and walked to the foot of my bed which was the top bunk then touched my foot, smiled then disappeared. It was shorter than my bunk bed so that would make it child size and black but I remember the eyes as white and it had teeth when it smiled. This interaction was at least a few minutes so I know it was real. After it left I screamed and woke my mom and told her what I saw and she insisted I was dreaming. I tried talking to teachers, preachers and older people but no one could explain what I saw. Most said it was a dream some said it was a demon or something evil. I didn't believe them because it smiled and winked at me and I knew it did not mean me any harm. It seemed playful but it was on a mission because it had a pouch that it put something in after it did something to my sisters. Later in life I came to think it was an alien based on whitley strieber's book communion and one of the beings he described which was the first time I had ever heard of someone describing exactly what I saw. I wrote him in the early 90s but he never wrote me back. In the 80s I had the experience of seeing a shadow being before they were known as shadow beings. Once again child size and black able to move very fast. I saw it many times in my apartment running down a hall. I wasn't afraid of it, in fact it seemed afraid of me. I know what I saw was real cause when I got married I moved my wife into my apartment while our house was being built and decided I wouldn't tell her about the being in the apt. We were laying in bed one night and I saw it go past the bedroom door in the hall but I wasn't going to say anything and then she asked me which one of the kids went to the bathroom. I said you saw that? She said yes, one of the kids went to the bathroom. I said no, not one of the kids. I had her explain what she saw and then I told her what I had seen and the fact that I had seen it for years. She got up and went and checked on the kids who were sound asleep. I convinced her that what we saw was nothing that would harm us and told her to just ignore it because it was there before me and it obviously meant no harm, plus we only had less than 2 mos for the house to be completed. We stayed about three more weeks but I went and rented another apartment elsewhere because she was still uncomfortable about what we had seen. At any rate I know there are other beings in our world and I really don't care who believes me but I am so happy that I found out very early in life cause it changed my whole belief system. I feel fortunate to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we share our planet with other beings. The truth is other forms of life do exist.
It appears that anything we don't recognize outside of the norm we consider evil and must be destroyed because of the potential to harm us. Interesting but dumb! If you were an intelligent lifeform would you attempt contact with humans? We still kill each other for our differences. Sofar the biggest threat to man is man.
