A woman whose skin turned a silver colour after she took nose drops for years is warning people to steer clear of medicines containing the metal.
Rosemary Jacobs, 66, had painful face peels to remove layers of skin after it developed an irreversible grey tinge.
Her rare condition - known as argyria - began when she started taking nasal drops containing colloidal silver (CSP) at the age of 11.
Four years later a skin biopsy revealed a multitude of silver particles embedded deep beneath her epidermis.
"They told me my colour was permanent," Mrs Jacobs said. "It was devastating."
Now, after years of verbal abuse, cruel remarks and severe skin treatments, Mrs Jacobs is determined to raise awareness of the dangers of taking supplements and medicines containing silver.

Jack the Ripper may have killed his first victim 25 years earlier than previously thought, a retired murder detective has claimed in a new book.
It is thought that Jack the Ripper killed and mutilated at least five prostitutes in the East End between August and November 1888.
But Trevor Marriott says he may have struck in 1863 and 1872.
Mr Marriott will be presenting his findings at the Docklands Museum which is hosting an exhibition on the killer.
Bodies unattended
The body of 28-year-old prostitute Emma Jackson was found in a brothel in St Giles, central London, in April 1863.
Mr Marriott also uncovered a second case he believes may have been committed by the Ripper.
Nine years after the Jackson murder, on Christmas Day 1872, Harriet Buswell was found with her throat slit at her lodgings in nearby Great Coram Street, after returning home the previous evening with a male guest.
Both cases remain unsolved.
In his book, The Evil Within, Mr Marriott claims that Jack the Ripper did not remove internal organs from two of his victims.
Traditionally, the serial killer is alleged to have removed organs from the bodies of his victims, including his second "official" victim Annie Chapman and Catherine Eddowes, his fourth, with a degree of medical precision.
But Mr Marriott said: "The organs were not removed by the killer at the crime scenes but by person or persons unknown for medical research at some point between the bodies being removed from the crime scenes and the post mortems taking place some 12 hours later.
"In both these cases the bodies had been left alone and unattended outside makeshift mortuaries."

Witness statement: We were driving toward home after getting an early breakfast in Greeneville. Ty was driving and I (Jennifer) was in the passenger seat. I look over in the sky toward sunrise (the sky had just lit up and turned to daylight) and saw what appeared to be a white streak of a light. I didn't say anything, but Ty turned and looked at it too. He said, "look, the space station..." a long pause and then... "or a UFO." I said I had been watching it too. We pulled onto the main highway (highway 107) from Greeneville and at this time of morning traffic is picking up a bit, so we had cars both behind us and coming in the opposite direction. All of a sudden the object dropped altitude and flew in our direction (not following the highway, but crossing it) and it dropped so low I was able to see the outline of the UFO. It was either black or gray in color, clearly a triangle shape, and had three large white or yellow lights underneath. I remember seeing two or three smaller lights of the same color between those three lights that made up the triangle. I was able to see it so clearly because it flew right over our car and it was broad daylight by this time. I estimate it to have been as low as four or five power line poles high (my husband judged 1,000 feet high but he couldn't see it at the point when it passed over us because he was driving). It was flying relatively slow by smoothly with no noise and went in the opposite direction of sunrise, toward the mountains. Friday night we saw something else. My husband was alone getting gas nearby our home when he spotted a strange amber/orange colored light in the sky over a mountain toward Greeneville. Even though he was driving back home he could see it in certain places over the course of about 10 minutes. When he got home he asked me to come outside, and I did. From our yard (we live in a very rural area) we have a good view of the Greeneville city lights in the distance. This light appeared to be hovering over the mountain. We have plenty of cell tower blinking lights and flood lights, etc. but this was none of those. I told Ty to run in and get his telescope. As soon as he went inside the light disappeared. I yelled back in the house, "nevermind, it's gone!" and as soon as I said that it reappeared in the same spot. Ty brought his telescope out and started to try and get it in view. The light was slowly moving behind the mountain by this time. As soon as he got it in view with the telescope, the light disappeared. It was no star because it had been moving in the opposite direction of the way moon comes up, and it had disappeared and reappeared. Neither of us were scared during either sighting, just more amazed. We felt it necessary to contact MUFON because, while this was my first UFO sighting, it was not my husband's first. For three mornings in a row back in June of this year (the month is estimated, we didn't write it down at the time) he was driving to work and saw these things around 4:30AM. The first time scared him to death. The first morning a triangle was extremely close to the ground (so close it could have been touching, but he doesn't think it was touching the ground) right beside the road in a pre-season tomato field. As he drove closer the object rose up slightly and tilted so he saw the lights underneath. He said they were yellowish in color. When he got even closer it disappeared. That afternoon, on his way back home he noticed grass depressions in the (what is now) tomato field. The next morning he saw another one further away in a different field, and yet again the next morning he saw an object in the sky. After discovering the grass depressions in the tomato field we took a camera out to take pictures. While driving by snapping shots we found other fields with similar grass depressions, all along about a three mile stretch of highway 107 (the opposite end of the 107 highway from Greeneville). We have those pictures on our computer. This does appear to be a hot spot for UFO activity and MUFON should be aware of this. I am attaching the evidence from my husband's first encounter a few months ago.

Witness statement: I was taking pics of the sunset outside the house. I took a few pics and decided to take one over the house. I thought I saw something on the LCD screen (after the shot was taken) that wasn't visible to the naked eye. I came in to look at the images and caught something odd. I went back out to take more pics. I stood in exact spot using the roof of the house as a reference point. Nothing was there. I moved the camera to the left and right taking random pics with and without flash. The object was only visible after the photo had been taken and only showed up when I used a flash. When I viewed the second batch of images, the object was there again, but jumping all over the sky. It moved all around like no plane or satelite. One minute it was there and the next it was not and then it reappeared somewhere else. The moon was half full and South/South West. I was facing due East. Took random pics until it got too dark. I captured 7 pics showing the object.

Description: Sept. 5th 2008 there was something going on over the skies of Six Flags Georgia. While thousands of people were enjoying themselves at the park around 9:45pm, several strange craft played above them for at least 15 minutes. it was hard to capture video of the moving vehicles, but the three stationary ufo's held their positions for many minutes. i did not have a tripod so the video is shaky. but i did manage to use the automatic digital zoom, and you can see the objects pulsing. one pulsed blue, the other red. i did not zoom in on the third. they were lined up in a triangular formation and seemed to be vertically oriented, spinning like wheels. they were about 1000 to 1500 ft in altitude, and were west of the park above interstate 20 about one mile away from where we were. my son was the first one to spot them doing bizarre acrobatics that would be impossible for any airplane. it was hard to keep them in focus, rather like shooting the head of a pin in the sky. the park is about 12 miles from Atlanta and HJ Int'l airport. planes do not take this path to HJI but a couple could be seen in the sky as well, including a jet with strange lights that flew past the objects twice. this can be seen on the video. i stopped shooting after a time because i could not get any closer video of the craft. i have several hundred hours in choppers and am professionally trained with video. these were not anomalies of light or illusions with the lens. the objects were real and show up far better on a tv screen than your computer monitor. i wonder if anyone else saw them.

The incredible Turtle Frog (Myobatrachus gouldi). The Turtle Frog is a fossorial (burrowing) species, and probably the most fossorial of all Australian frogs. They even call and mate underground, where the eggs are laid in the moist sand and develop directly into frogs.

Video of a uncommon flashing green UFO sighted over Congleton, Cheshire on September 4th, 2008. According to Nick Pope, green UFOs are much rarer since it disproves the "chinese lantern" theory.

Maybe they were looking to make their weekly shop or perhaps they just ran out of milk?
Whatever their reason, the extra terrestrial presence above Purley Cross Tesco prompted a call by UFO experts for a public inquiry.
Sid O'Driscoll spotted the supposed spacecraft on August 28 at 2am.
He said: "It was very weird. It was the most beautiful green and white light, moving quite fast, then stopping.
"It had to be mechanical, like a spaceship, because it slowed down and stopped.
"It wasn't making any noise. It disappeared in a flash.
"I went home and told my girlfriend. She didn't believe me, but the pictures speak for themselves."
The 35-year-old former non-believer swore he did not dabble in drugs and had no idea what the aircraft could have been.
UFO expert Nick Pope, who worked for the Ministry of Defence, examined the pictures. He said: "Green lights are unusual.
"It rules out the so-called Chinese lanterns that accounted for some recent UFO sightings in the UK.
"The images and description of the movement don't fit a list of things frequently reported as UFOs – aircraft lights, meteors, satellites.
"This is a genuine mystery."
He added: "Given the sheer number of sightings we've seen this summer and the unprecedented number of photos and videos, it's time for a full public inquiry."
The last reported sighting in Croydon was in April, when a foreign student snapped a mysterious object speeding through the sky

A retired Cookeville builder has discovered a mysterious set of large footprints on his property.
Harold Jackson is an amateur archaeologist who enjoys collecting arrowheads and other Native American artifacts. But the most extraordinary find of his life came on his property near the Caney Fork River.
For months he stepped on a rock near his house that caught his eye. Finally, he brought the unusual rock home and cleaned it up. After all of the mud was removed, a remarkable discovery was revealed.
"I don't know anything about archaeology or anything. but if you look at it, it's a footprint. No animal footprint looks like that. Now, if it's a Native American, an Indian, then he was a big Indian," said Jackson. "(The print) is about 11 inches wide and about 15 inches long."
Jackson said the fossilized print clearly shows the heel and all five toes.
"It's got to be thousand of years old," said Jackson.
About half-a-dozen scientists said they want to look at the print, including Dr. Jeffrey Meldrum, a famous Bigfoot professor at Idaho State University. Meldrum collects Bigfoot prints from all over the world.
Jackson said the print has made him a believer in Bigfoot.
"It was just hard for me to believe. But listen, after I found this print, there's a Bigfoot out there somewhere. I don't know what kind of Bigfoot it is, but there's a Bigfoot out there somewhere," said Jackson.
Channel 4 has yet to reach Meldrum or Tennessee state archaeologist Nick Fielder to comment on the artifact.
Jackson said there is another similar-sized large fossilized foot imprint on his property but has been unable to extract it from the rock.

Morgellons Disease is a mysterious skin disorder that was first described more than 300 years ago. The disease is characterized by multi-colored fiber-like (filamentous) strands extruding from the skin in conjunction with various dermatologic and neuropsychiatric symptoms. Some of these multi-colored fibers (filamentous) are of microscopic size, while others have the appearance of fibers and granules coming out of the skin that can be seen growing with the naked eye. The multi-colored fibers range in color: white, blue, black, red and are often regarded by the medical community as common house hold lint.
Some self-identified Morgellons sufferers and various conspiracy theorists provide their own origin hypotheses: "Perhaps it is caused by chemical spills or bio-terror or even alien abductions. On a radio program Coast to Coast a New Mexico doctor reports that a former CIA agent told him the disease was caused by the French. A botched government experiment, he says, contaminated the water.
Morgellons patients are skeptical that aliens are the cause of their disease, but have not ruled out the possibility completely. Many websites host "proof" that the fibers and granules found in the lesions and rashes are actually a successful attempt at alien invasion. Subscribers to this theory theorize that the fibers are a means of communication or an attempt at global positioning for aliens.
Evidence is beginning to mount linking Morgellons to Lyme Disease which can be caught from tick bites. Ginger Savely, a medical practitioner in Austin Texas, says she's seeing more and more patients in her clinic with the symptoms. Quoted in a local newspaper she said "Talking about it just sounds crazy, but there are just a lot of things that come out of their skin."
Savely specializes in Lyme Disease and believes there may be a link. She says that about 10 percent of her patients with chronic Lyme disease have symptoms of Morgellons. He theory is that people with the tick-borne Lyme Disease have weaker immune systems, and may be more vulnerable to the Morgellons infection.
The Morgellons Research Foundation says that forty-four people with Morgellons have tested positive for Borrelia burgdorferi (Bb), the bacteria which causes Lyme Disease. They believe that an infection with Borrelia burgdorferi (Bb) may alter the individual's immune system and allow this unknown organism to become an opportunistic coinfection.
So it seems there is in fact a real bug, or even a 'willing coalition' of bugs at large in the United States attacking innocent citizens, despite official denials. It also seems that it is the US medical establishment that is 'delusional', not their unfortunate patients.

Video from Earthfiles.com - close encounters, abductions and livestock mutilations in and around Tappen, North Dakota.
The story was featured on the front page of North Dakota’s largest and conservative newspaper, the Fargo Forum, on October 28. It’s being called one of the “most legitimate and credible” human-alien confrontation stories in decades, and the story is nothing else if fascinating and sensational. Here is what has been happening, as reported by the Fargo Forum:Evan Briese, 16, woke early on the morning of Sept. 16 and saw something big moving among a corral where a number of very large hogs were kept -- the hogs were basically family pets. Evan grabbed a gun, thinking it might be a coyote -- but what he saw in the corral shocked him to the bone! Evan Briese encountered two creatures standing 8 to 9 feet tall that were doing something to one of the hogs. He fired his .22-caliber rifle at one creature which emitted an unearthly scream. Another creature then grabbed the boy and threw him to the ground, causing him to black out. When Evan Briese awoke, he found that Ruthy, a 450-pound sow that had been ready to give birth, was gone.
The boy ran to the home of his older sister, Trista, a short distance from the house he shares with his parents.Trista Briese made a frantic phone call to her parents and it wasn’t long before they, and later the Kidder County sheriff, were on the scene. The sheriff, Doug Howard, then left but came back the next day. He ultimately came to no conclusions about what happened to the hog, Myra Briese said. Several days later, with the help of a hypnotist, Evan Briese remembered more details.Five entities had been in the corral. Two were in the process of dragging what appeared to be a dead hog when the boy interrupted them.As for the other incidents, one was in April when Evan and his cattle dog, Buster, were checking on cows during calving season, his parents said. Investigating a flashing glow, the pair walked over a hill and saw an object resting on the ground that appeared to be scanning a waterhole with an intense beam of light. At first, boy and dog could do nothing but stare. The spell was broken when Buster ran barking at the craft, which took off into the night, causing what amounted to a sonic boom.“It woke Myra up,” Torrey Briese said of the sound, adding that he, too, witnessed something unusual this past summer. It happened one night in July, when he was giving a neighbor a ride into town. Briese said he and the neighbor noticed a bluish light in the sky, which stopped when they stopped and moved when they began driving.
“We spent about a half-hour watching it,” Briese said, adding that at one point the object flew so fast it went several miles in a matter of seconds. Based on the description of the object his son saw in April, Briese links the two events, adding that he’s never been given to flights of fancy.“Evan and I are very skeptical,” Torrey Briese said. “We used to watch ‘The UFO Files’ on TV and laugh out loud.” Briese said he wouldn’t be surprised if people feel the same about his story, but he said the family doesn’t feel a need to prove anything and they’ve moved on. “We’re not out looking for aliens every night,” he said.Brice Barnick, the mayor of Tappen -- located off Interstate 94 between Bismarck and Jamestown -- said visits by UFOs are the talk of the town, though he himself is not quite on board. “I’m not saying it can’t happen. But I’d have to see it to believe it,” Barnick said. At the time of the April incident, the Brieses were put in touch with Richard Moss, a UFO investigator who happened to be in Tappen for a funeral.Moss, of Long Prairie, Minn., is the Minnesota representative of the Mutual UFO Network, an organization based in Colorado dedicated to the study of UFO phenomena. Moss, a former high school science teacher, said that in many years of investigating UFO reports, only a handful have impressed him as having the potential to be genuine. The Tappen incidents, he said, fall into the latter category.“There are a lot of people out there who are telling false stories. The credibility of the witness is a big thing,” Moss said. In the case of Evan Briese, Moss said it was interesting to view the boy’s demeanor before and after the hypnotic regression. Prior to hypnosis, “He (Briese) had a sort of unsure look on his face.
He was still really wondering what had happened. After the hypnotic regression, he knew. He was made to remember,” Moss said. Sheriff Howard was off duty Thursday and could not be reached for comment.John Lemieux, a Kidder County deputy, said he did not believe the incident in September resulted in a written report. Torrey Briese said strange things are still happening. A relative who farms in the Tappen area recently had a sheep die, and a veterinarian who examined the animal found no obvious reason for its death, Briese said. A cause of death wasn’t the only thing missing. Someone, Briese said, removed a single testicle from the animal. It was done with surgical precision, he added. ________________________________________________

The UN says that 3.8 million West and Central African girls are at risk of a painful form of body mutilation know as 'breast ironing'.
In Cameroon where the practice is most widespread, 50% of adolescent girls in cities and a quarter of all girls nationwide have their breasts 'ironed,' often by their mothers.
The 'ritual' is performed by massaging the girls' chests with heated objects like stones, in order to reverse their pubescent development. The mums say it's driven by fear of unwanted male attention, rape and pre-marital pregnancies.
According to UNFPA, breast ironing exposes girls to numerous health problems such as abscesses, infections, dissymmetry of the breasts, cysts, and even the complete disappearance of one or both breasts.
Nevertheless breast ironing is widespread and interestingly, the high prevalence in cities attributed to the effects of urbanization.
In Cameroon, the Network of Aunties Association, RENATA, made up of members who have undergone the practice, is trying to stop breast ironing by drawing public attention to its dangers in radio and television spots and by disseminating leaflets.

The latest attack of a child by a large wallaby at White Rock has sparked calls for a cull of the area's growing mob before someone is killed.
Concerned dad Alwyn "Bones" Bailey yesterday said if he had not been there to fight off the 1m-tall wallaby on Saturday afternoon, he had no doubt his nine-year-old son Morgan would have been mauled to death.
"It’s deadset serious. Someone should get a gun and shoot the buggers," Mr Bailey said.
"They’re not just friendly, cute little wallabies any more – they’re killers."
The animal came at Morgan after he had been feeding bread to their horses in a paddock off Giffin Rd, near the Leichhardt Soccer Club grounds.
"This big fella came out and Morgan started to run and he started chasing him, making this roaring noise," Mr Bailey said.
"Morgan was absolutely screaming his head off.
"I had to belt him (the wallaby) across the face twice, then he came at me – he had his claws up, shaping up like a little boxing man.
"Then my young fella (six-year-old Bodine) grabbed a stick and he finally backed off," Mr Bailey said.
He and Giffin Rd neighbour Anita Coulthard said they knew of three other children who also were attacked by wallabies in the area on separate times last year.
They said there were now thousands of the animals in White Rock, competing for grass on ever-dwindling parcels of undeveloped land.
"I’ve been here 25 years and until last year I'd never heard of wallabies attacking anyone," Ms Coulthard said.
"I don’t want to dob them in because I love animals but parents have to be warned not to let their kids go out in the paddocks alone."
An Environmental Protection Agency spokesman said attacks on humans by wild wallabies or kangaroos were extremely rare, but animals that were regularly fed could become conditioned to seeing people as a source of food then become frustrated and aggressive if they did not get it.
Hand-reared male wallabies also were an attack risk, particularly to children because of their similar size and the wallabies trying to assert their dominance in the social hierarchy, he said.
The spokesman urged people to keep their distance and not feed wallabies.
Wallabies are protected and permits are needed to manage problem wildlife.

Nicolas Cage, the hammiest thing this side of a butcher's shop window, has been droning on about his haunted mansion in New Orleans, a place so scary that even he has never spent the night there, since he bought the place last year.
"It's allegedly the most severely haunted house in the United States of America... that's what they tell me. So at any given moment, I have five or six ghosts surrounding the house, all looking up at this haunted temple."
The estate agent deserves an Oscar for managing to keep a straight face when filling Nicolas in on the details of the house. Even though several parapsychologists have asked to spend the night there (perhaps because they know it's the one place on earth they won't encounter Cage) he has refused permission.
"I won't let them in - because of respect. If there's something in there, I don't want them being exploited," said the actor, exploiting the place for a bit of publicity and virtually begging local kids to break in for a dare.
Cage promises to spend the night there eventually, which will spoil the haunted house forever as the ghosts rush to get out of the place the minute they hear his bloated, overblown delivery boring the shit out of the place. Hasn't New Orleans suffered enough lately?

The elephant's memory is legendary, but in a large, grey surprise to science the mighty Asian elephant turns out to have a distinct flair for maths as well
Under carefully controlled experimental conditions — essentially comprising a large cage and two buckets of assorted fruit — one elephant at Ueno Zoo in Tokyo managed to get its sums right 87 per cent of the time. A slightly less gifted pachyderm across the country in Kyoto scored a still respectable 69 per cent.
The curiously accurate adding skills of Elephas maximus have been discovered by Naoko Irie, a behavioural ecologist at the University of Tokyo putting the finishing touches to her doctoral thesis. In her tests, three apples were dropped into one bucket and five into a second one next to it. Two more apples were added to each bucket, leaving the first with five and the second with seven apples.
Unable to see inside the buckets or probe them with her trunk, 30-year old Ashiya selected the bucket with the more apples having, apparently, counted the contents of each as it was being loaded-up with fruit. Nothing spectacularly rare about that, say scientists – plenty of animals have been shown to possess basic counting abilities but most animals fail when the numbers get much bigger than three or four or the margin of difference between the available choices become too narrow.
“I couldn’t believe it at first,” said Irie, “They could instantly compare numbers like six and five."
The elephants she subjected to the fruit-based arithmetic tests were as good at telling the difference between five and six as they were at spotting that five is greater than one, she said.
Speculation among scientists over why the elephant should have developed its limited but nonetheless impressive mathematical ability centres on the way in which the lumbering creatures move in herds. A basic counting ability, say experts, might act as a guarantee that no calf is left behind.

The case occurred on the premises of a marine company that does barge construction and repair work, located near the old facilities of the Swiff packing plant. The premises border on the north with a unit of the Naval Subprefecture, on the south with the Saladillo Creek and on the east with the Parana River.
The events took place on the evening of April 23, 2008 according to information furnished by Mr. Claudio Petri, watchman of the premises. Before leaving his shift at 20:00 hrs, he saw the sudden motion of what he defined as "a shadow" through his office window. When he went out to investigate, he saw nothing unusual. When the shifts changed, he turned over his post to his relief and went away.
Matters developed normally until 02:00 hrs., when then watchman saw a shadow through the window. Arming himself with a pistol for protection, he went out to investigate. He headed toward a light panel located between the vessels. At that location, he saw a shadow facing him, and according to the remark he later shared with his co-workers, he heard a voice that said: "Mátate" (kill yourself) over and over again, imperatively. At that moment, his wife reached the site (she had been keeping him company during the late shift) and she managed to pull away the gun that the watchman was pointing at his head. At no time did the wife see or hear any of the things reported by the watchman. Returning to the office, the watchman headed for the restroom, babbling "kill yourself" over and over. When the officer-in-charge arrived, he asked the watchman to taka few days off, in view of the state he was in.
Our witness, Mr. Petri, remarks that upon entering at 06:00 shift on 04/24/08, his co-workers apprised him of what had transpired the night before, adding that the sheep they kept at work had also died overnight. Upon seeing the animal, he became aware that it was a highly unusual event. The specimen was missing its upper lip and upper front teeth; its entire right eye was gone, along with the front right leg and muscle mass ner the upper joint nearest the body, forming a hole with a depth and diameter greater than 10 cm. Also gone were its right rear nipple and anus. There were signs of hair sheared off in the areas affected by the alleged mutilation, similar to the shaving done during animal sterilization surgeries, but missing all types of fur (sic). There was no tearing of the muscular mass, broken or splintered bones.
Also noteworthy was the fact that there was no sign of a struggle or defense on the part of the animal. Despite the magnitude of the phenomenon, there was no blood spilled on the floor, or traces of blood on the animal itself, or any sign that it was dragged. Even more surprising were the prints found at the site, which were photographed by the witness along with the mutilated carcass. The prints were approximately 15 cm long and have a rear base of support (the point of support that sunk 2-3 cm into the sandy soil) with a front part consisting of three fingers ending in nails or claws. The middle part of the print is not perceptible. The distance between one print and another is of approximately 50 cme. Following the corresponding analysis, it was determined that whatever left the prints walked erect and measured between 1.80 to 2 meters.
We consider this case to be very important by virtue of having occurred within the city limits, along with the chance to have found the "prints".

My boyfriend and I were heading back home to Sun Prairie, WI from Labor Day weekend in the North Woods. We had a couple of friends car pooling with us so we dropped them off in downtown Madison first and then headed North/Northeast towards home.
We usually take East Washington out of the city, which turns into Hwy 151, and takes us all the way home. Sun Prairie is a fairly populated and growing suburb on the outskirts of Madison. Although it also has several beautiful farm lands, lots of open country and wild animals, it’s only about a 20-25 minute drive from the city. It’s far enough though to get out of the hustle and bustle of downtown life. We’re just not city folk so we love the country feel that Sun Prairie gives us.
So we were heading NE on Hwy 151, traveling the speed limit of 65, and we were about ½ a mile from our Exit 101 – Main St. when I spotted something and pointed it out to my boyfriend. I began slowing down, and almost completely stopped because there was no traffic behind us, and we were both watching in amazement while going down the list of possibilities…shooting star, no, comet, no, F-16, no. It seemed at first to be heading East then slightly SE then quickly changed to a NE direction. It was only about 450-500 feet in front of us and about 500 feet up in the air and descending before it faced NE and completely disappeared.
I first thought it was a comet because it had a tail of fire behind it and that idea quickly went out the window. Then I thought it was a F-16 because the tail looked like an after burner although the color was orange/red, yellow and white and there were no shock diamonds so it was totally inconsistent with a true after burner, besides the fact that it was descending and there was no roaring noise that would of surely shook my truck and our ear drums.
I could see no ship, no lights, and not even an outline of a ship, even with the street lights and town lights on. It seemed to be floating down slowly in front of us with fluid like motions as almost a jet ski would glide on glassy waters. When it did turn NE, we were looking at the rear of the ship and I could almost make out a ring, similar to a single engine military craft, against a black background, before the burner went out and completely disappeared into the night.
The capabilities, maneuvers, and behavior of this craft are like none that the US military has made public or that I have ever seen before. I contacted the local police department to find out if there were any reports of strange sightings in the area, but there were none. I also phoned the local Madison Regional Airport, where I know they do have F-16’s, and got a hold of Operations where I was told the only landings and take offs were at 9:30 pm and 11:52 pm on Sept.1st and 1:30 am on Sept.2nd, none of which were F-16’s. The only planes reported to leave the ground or land were a CRJ (Jet) and a Learjet.
We were so captivated by what we were witnessing that we didn’t even snap a photo. I am working on simulating the event in an animated movie and will post it when I’m done.
This is not my first time experiencing mysterious lights and air craft in the skies and I do have some pictures of previous events in Florida and Colorado that I will also be posting on this site. Honestly I have always been a little weary about sharing my photos and findings, for obvious reasons, but now that I have found MUFON and have observed the good work they’re doing, I feel relieved, comfortable, and excited, and want to share MUFON with all my friends and family!
PS- I’ve attached a map of exactly where it happened and as I said above, I will be uploading an animated version of the event when I’m done.

A Denmark-based artist is planning to use the body of a Texas murderer as fish food for an installation in Germany after the man is executed. The project aims to spark debate about capital punishment, he told The Local.
Confessed triple-murderer Gene Hathorn has willed his body to artist Marco Evaristti, who plans to freeze dry the corpse and have exhibition visitors feed it to a tank of goldfish.
“This may seem obscene,” Evaristti told The Local of the idea he conceived in April. “But I don't think there is anything wrong with this kind of art piece. If you kill people with the authorization of the state it is a heady matter, and to make fish food with a dead body that is going to rot six feet under anyway is not such a big deal.”
Goldfish have a particular relevance to Evaristti's message against what he calls “state authorized homicide.” In 2000, he made headlines with a controversial installation of 10 functioning blenders containing live goldfish in Denmark.
“The new idea is to turn it around,” Evaristti said. “If you were against killing the fish in the blender, think about what will happen if the fish don't eat. The audience has to participate to be human by giving food to the fish if they are good people, otherwise it will be a big fish cemetery.”
Evarissti has been to visit Hathorn, 47, at his Livingston, Texas prison four times, and says he will attend his execution, which is pending a final appeal. The two have developed a personal relationship and correspond regularly by mail, Evarissti said.
The Chilean artist, who is known for making meatballs out of his own fat and serving them to a dinner party in 2007, hopes to exhibit the new work in Germany because it has the most powerful “avant-garde” influence in the European art community. He said he has had several offers from public institutions, which he prefers to more elite galleries.
“It is important to show the work where the audience is normal, and maybe don't normally go to exhibitions,” he said. “It's important that it's not just the elite, but those who get a political vote on issues like these.”
He also hopes to bring the installation to New York so that a US audience can contemplate capital punishment, he said.
There has been some question as to whether the donation of Hathorn's body for such a purpose is legal, but Evarissti says he believes there won't be a problem after discussing the matter with Texas authorities.
“Normally the inmates donate their bodies to science experiments, and this is kind of an art experiment,” he said.

This awesome full backpiece tree is a coverup of an old tribal tramp stamp (what an improvement!), done by Justin Bolonski at Integrity Tattoo in Royersford, PA.
A photograph, which has captured a dark figure taken in the foreboding underground Crypt at Oxford Castle Unlocked, has revealed the paranormal does exist and confirms beliefs that the Castle is haunted. The photograph was taken on Friday 16 May by a member of the public at a ghost hunt organised by Fright Nights, the UK’s leading ghost hunt specialist.
The brave ghost hunter, who was alone in the Crypt at the time, took the photograph with his digital camera. Keiron Brown from Alton in Hampshire was astonished to see the dark shadow of a figure at the end of the corridor leading into the Crypt when he looked at the images on his computer after the event.
The astounding photograph has since been analysed by experts at Fright Nights and at Oxford Castle Unlocked. Martin Jeffrey, Director of Fright Nights stated. We were amazed by this photograph. Our analysts have shown that the figure is jet black and unusually not lit up by the flash, whereas the side walls and the wall behind it have visible lighting caused by the flash.
We can also confirm that the figure is facing the camera and seems to have some form of hood, head dress or blindfold. We know that the Crypt was used for the storing of criminals especially those waiting execution, so the figure fits perfectly within the history of the Castle. Fright Nights were granted exclusive use of Oxford Castle Unlocked in which to hold overnight paranormal investigations for the public since early 2007. The visitor attraction is thought to be one of the most haunted buildings in the country.
Throughout its dark history, the Castle has served time as a royal residence, a centre of justice and as the county Gaol, hidden from public view behind impenetrable 5 metre high stones walls until its closure in 1996. Martin continued, “This photograph tops off a fantastic eighteen months of ghost hunting events at Oxford Castle Unlocked. We have had continual paranormal activity throughout the Castle that has inspired attendees to return over and over again.

Stephenville Texas representative to Place 7 Mr. Mark Murphy has filed complaints with the FAA and the DOT (pursuant to 14 CFR 13 on air safety) on behalf of himself, his family, and his constituents as an elected representative regarding the events which took place over Stephenville Texas on the evening of January 8, 2008.
Mr. Murphy requested a reprimand of the USAF for large scale military operations in a populated area without notification of local authorities. City officials are supposed to be notified when such events are going to take place. No such notification was given prior to the F-16s flying over the city.
This is a bold step to force some action which is long over due. The fact that there were F-16s flying in and around the Stephenville area is serious because Stephenville is not within the military operating zone. Long time Stephenville resident and UFO witness Steve Allen said he saw a large UFO pass over head at a high rate of speed followed by a F-16 in pursuit.
All 301st public affairs chief Maj. Karl Lewis said is that 10 F-16s were in the sky that evening flying a training mission. No mention of large UFOs which out-passed F-16s as the multiple witnesses said they saw.
I know Mr. Mark Murphy, and he will let me know of any response he receives from his formal complaint. I will then release the response(s) ASAP to the media.
To all those who have followed the Stephenville Texas UFO incident from the beginning, and to all those who have just started looking into it, we must demand answers and we can't let the USAF get away with telling lies and half truths. This is one of the most important (if not the most important) UFO incident in history.

A team of investigators travelled over 5,000 miles from Los Angeles to Lancashire – on the trail of UFOs.
The crew are from the programme UFO Hunters which is shown on the History Channel in America.
The next series will feature the Red Rose county's spate of mystery sightings.
In July, Pat Regan, 51, took a picture of a freaky funnel cloud moving slowly over the skies of Scarisbrick, near Southport.
On closer inspection, Pat, of Brook Road, Ainsdale, also spotted an unidentified flying object alongside the would-be tornado.
Dave Pavoni, of Motion Picture Production, said: "We started seeing that the UK is the number one hotspot in the world right now.
"We got Pat's photograph and came and talked to him at the area where he filmed it and we're going to take his photo and analyse it back in Los Angeles."
The team also showed the picture to an atmospheric scientist at Manchester University who studied it and confirmed the object was not debris from the funnel cloud.

A man has sold an elaborate tattoo of the Virgin Mary, which is still on his back, to an art collector who plans to 'exhibit' him three times a year.
The extraordinary transaction, which Zurich gallery owner Jutta Nexdorf claims is the first of its kind, earned the vendor, Tim Steiner, 150,000 euros ($AU219,000).
Under the terms of the sale, when Mr Steiner dies the tattoo, which took 35 hours to create, will be removed and handed over to its new owner.
The owner will also be allowed to sell right to exhibit the tattoo, created by Belgian artist Wim Delvoye and notable for depicting the mother of Jesus with a lifeless skull.
Proceeds from the sale are being shared among the gallery, tattoo bearer Mr Steiner and Mr Delvoye.
The tattoo will go on show for the first time next week in Singapore and Shanghai.

The attached video is of dolphins playing with silver colored rings which they have the ability to make under water to play with. It isn't known how they learn this, or if it's an inbred ability.
As if by magic the dolphin does a quick flip of its head and a silver ring appears in front of its pointed beak. The ring is a solid, donut shaped bubble about 2-ft across, yet it doesn't rise to the surface of the water! It stands upright in the water like a magic doorway to an unseen dimension. The dolphin then pulls a small silver donut from the larger one. Looking at the twisting ring for one last time a bite is taken from it, causing the small ring to collapse into a thousands of tiny bubbles which head upward towards the water's surface. After a few moments the dolphin creates another ring to play with. There also seems to be a separate mechanism for producing small rings, which a dolphin can accomplish by a quick flip of its head.
An explanation of how dolphins make these silver rings is that they are "air-core vortex rings". Invisible, spinning vortices in the water are generated from the tip of a dolphin's dorsal fin when it is moving rapidly and turning. When dolphins break the line, the ends are drawn together into a closed ring. The higher velocity fluid around the core of the vortex is at a lower pressure than the fluid circulating farther away. Air is injected into the rings via bubbles released from the dolphin's blowhole. The energy of the water vortex is enough to keep the bubbles from rising for a reasonably few seconds of play time.

Two brothers who ran a funeral home and crematorium admitted Tuesday that they sold corpses to a company that trafficked stolen body parts, a macabre scheme that left families aghast and unclear about the fate of their loved ones.
Louis and Gerald Garzone pleaded guilty to charges including conspiracy, theft, abuse of corpse and welfare fraud.
The gruesome allegations read in court drew gasps, murmurs and tears from about two dozen people who had entrusted the bodies of their loved ones to the Garzones' facilities in Philadelphia.
The brothers allowed at least 244 corpses to be carved up without families' permission and without medical tests, prosecutors said. Skin, bones, tendons and other parts -- some of them diseased -- were then sold around the country for dental implants, knee and hip replacements, and other procedures.
Some bodies were only torsos by the time the hacking was done, said Assistant District Attorney Evangelia Manos.
The mastermind of the scheme, Michael Mastromarino, pleaded guilty Friday to hundreds of charges that could send him to prison for life. He is already serving 18 to 54 years for running the scam in New York.
Mastromarino's company, New Jersey-based Biomedical Tissue Services, took bodies from funeral homes in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Among the corpses plundered was that of veteran BBC broadcaster and "Masterpiece Theatre" host Alistair Cooke.
In Philadelphia, he paid the Garzones and their partner, James McCafferty, more than $245,000 for at least 244 cadavers between February 2004 and October 2005, prosecutors said.
Mastromarino would then send a "cutting" crew, led by former nurse Lee Cruceta, to Philadelphia to dissect the bodies. Cruceta pleaded guilty in January to abusing corpses and other charges; McCafferty pleaded guilty last month to conspiracy and theft charges.
The tissue plundered from a single body often fetched about $4,000, and Mastromarino made millions from the scheme, prosecutors said.
Authorities were able to identify only 49 of the 244 bodies, since the scam entailed falsifying names, ages and causes of death to disguise corpses that were too old or too diseased to be harvested legally. The Garzones burned their records in the crematorium when investigators started asking questions, Manos said.
One of the harvested bodies was that of Lois Elder, 58, of Philadelphia, who died of complications from a stroke in April 2005, said Taya Elder, her daughter.
Elder, 39, said she is glad to be spared a trial. Even though she heard many of the chilling details during the grand jury investigation that led to the indictments, listening to them again in court Tuesday brought her to tears.
"It took me for a loop," Elder said. "It really is shocking."
Her mother was supposed to be cremated. Today, Elder said she can only assume the ashes she has are what was left of mother's body after the cutting crew finished its work.
Louis Garzone also pleaded guilty to insurance fraud.
He claimed in August 2006 that severe depression preventing him from working, Manos said. In reality, he had surrendered his funeral director's license about two months earlier but continued to work at his funeral home, which was then under the auspices of another director, Manos said.
Both Gerald Garzone, 48, of North Wales, and Louis Garzone, 66, of Philadelphia, also pleaded guilty to defrauding the state public welfare department, which reimburses funeral homes for services provided to impoverished families. The Garzones filed for about $77,000 in unentitled reimbursements, prosecutors said.
The brothers remain free on bail until sentencing October 22.

Dan Mason says his wife screamed twice after she slipped off the edge of a 10-foot cliff while fishing and plunged into a roaring stream.
Yet Chaffee County Sheriff's Office officials say an autopsy showed Nancy Mason's neck was broken and she couldn't have screamed.
It is one of many reasons that Chaffee County sheriff's investigators believe Nancy Ann Mason's death on May 30, 2004, was not accidental.
A coroner's inquest or a grand jury may soon be convened to determine whether Nancy Mason was the victim of foul play, Chaffee County Sheriff's Lt. Rob Martellaro said.
"The death is very suspicious," he said.
In a phone interview with The Denver Post, Dan Mason said that what he thought he heard may actually have been a "paranormal" manifestation.
"I told them an angel pulled me out of the water," he said. "That angel was as real to me as my children. Maybe the angel screamed."
Chaffee County authorities began investigating Nancy Mason's death as a homicide after they were contacted by Nancy Mason's ex-husband, disbarred attorney Todd Linville, who is serving a 32-year prison term for bilking clients out of $3.3 million. Linville was convicted in 2005.
Son's name misspelled in will
In the months after divorcing Linville, Nancy met Dan Mason in 2002 at a support group for divorced people.
Not long after Nancy started dating Dan Mason, he moved into her Highlands Ranch home along with his friend, Efren Gallegos. Dan married Nancy in November 2003 in Las Vegas.
"The will mysteriously changed weeks before her death," Martellaro said.
But Dan Mason said the idea for the will was his wife's. They both wrote wills, he said.
But Nancy's will misspells the name of one of her sons, which indicates she didn't write it, said Miriam Gaede, Nancy's mother.
In the weeks before her death, Nancy Mason grew tired of Gallegos and demanded that he leave, Gaede said.
"She was so sick of him," she said.
Dan Mason said he also was tired of having Gallegos around and they decided to go to St. Elmo, a ghost town near Salida in Chaffee County where Nancy Mason had previously scoped out a fishing hole, as a going-away trip for Gallegos.
"That doesn't make any sense because after this happened he and Efren moved away together," said Nancy's son Matt Linville.
The campground where the Masons and Gallegos went is not a good fishing spot that time of year because of how fast the water rushes through narrow, rocky canyon walls, Martellaro said.
Nancy walked alone upstream along rocky wooded cliffs to cast her line off a ledge overlooking a pool she had found herself, her husband said. Dan said he couldn't see her upstream.
Authorities later found her fishing pole beneath the spot with no bait on the hook. There was no bait or gear near the ledge where she was fishing, Martellaro said.
"I would almost bet she had salmon eggs, but I can't swear to what she had," Dan Mason said.
Dan Mason was fishing downstream when he heard Nancy yell for help twice, he later told a deputy.
Doctors who reviewed evidence of Nancy Mason's death said it would be nearly impossible for her to scream with a broken neck, Martellaro said.
Dan Mason said he jumped in the fast-moving water to save his wife, nearly drowning himself. He grabbed his wife and an angel grabbed him, he said. Then Gallegos helped pull him out, he said.
"That angel was as real to me as the scream, but probably neither one is true," he said.
Chaffee County authorities did a re-enactment on Memorial Day this year involving a fit firefighter and using dummies as props. They concluded Gallegos' explanation of how he lifted both of the Masons out of the water was a highly improbable physical feat, Martellaro said.
Dan Mason said he did not know how to perform CPR so he and Gallegos left his wife and went for help.
Instead of driving an eighth of a mile to a store to call for help, the two headed in the opposite direction on a winding dirt road, he said.
Dan Mason said he is unsure why he went the direction he did. "I was in shock."
The people Mason and Gallegos flagged down for help told deputies they thought it odd that the two were wet only from the knees down after their struggle in the water.
But an autopsy concluded the death was "consistent with an accident," Martellaro said. That doesn't mean her death couldn't have been intentional, he said.
Dan Mason got an initial life insurance payment of about $50,000 and all together received about $100,000 from Nancy Mason's estate.
He could have received more, police say, but he wouldn't talk with insurance investigators about his wife's death.
"It meant nothing to me," Dan Mason said. "I just blew it."
Months later, sheriff's investigators tried to interview Gallegos and Dan Mason, who again refused to talk.
Shortly after Nancy's death, Dan Mason and Gallegos moved together to Texas, where they still live.

Brian Vike of HBCC UFO Research took a call today, September 2, 2008 from a lady who related a second hand sighting of the Sasquatch. A friend of hers had witnessed a large, tall creature run out in front of their vehicle as they traveled along the Telkwa Highroad. Up north here on August 27, 2008 the sun would have just gone done, but still leaving a little bit of light in which they were able to view the Sasquatch.
The next day the ladies husband was out washing his wife's car when he noticed a foul smell in the air, the lady and her husband live right in the area where the Sasquatch was observed. The husband had a very eerie feeling come over him knowing what his wife had just witnessed the day before.
Now HBCC UFO Research does not have anymore information on this sighting, but I am trying to contact the lady who had this sighting.
Also I should point out that this is the third Sasquatch sighting that has come in. Two in my area and one at Campbell River on Vancouver Island.
Bit gosh, two sighting of Sasquatch in this area is something else and all in a pretty short period of time. If anyone in the Pacific Northwest from Burns Lake to Terrace and bee witness to a Sasquatch in 2008 I would love to hear from you. You can contact me at: hbccufo@telus.net

The animal was found with half of its face mutilated. There are no signs of violence in its pen, nor any bloodstains. The animal is alive. This case can be added to the cow mutilation cases discovered this morning in the town of Antelo. UFO researcher Silvia Perez Simondini is analyzing the event.
The Enrique family, residing on Avda. Esteban Lone, Barrio de la Abadia, was startled this morning when they awoke to find their pig had had half of its head mutilated. The animal was in perfect shape last night, according to the family. However, around 7:00 a.m. this morning, when they went to feed the animal, they were startled by its mutilated features.
The animal, a 6 month old porker, was locked in a small pen, walking around and showing no signs of violence or bloodstains. It did not complain, and half of its jaw was mutilated to reveal its teeth; an ear was also missing. This case is added to reports involving mutilated cows in Antelo. UFO researcher Silvia Pérez Simondini is looking into the case.

After recent events worldwide regarding Bigfoot, interest in Cannock's very own alleged sasquatch has heightened, www.sundaymercury.net was approached by a Cannock resident who claims to have had a very strange encounter over in the Staffordshire forest... we haven't published their name at their request.
"Last year around June time, me and two other friends were supposed to go to a 24-hour basketball event for charity. Us being lads we decided to skive and go and sit down the lane in my car, and do what typical teenage lads do.
"Anyway, so me and two others were parked up in a little pull-in, down a lane in Gentleshaw not too far from Burntwood, Cannock. We were parked in this pull-in facing the road, with trees either side of us, and a gated-field behind. It was around two o'clock in the morning and we had the interior light on in the car, when my friend in the front passenger seat said he could see something moving outside, on the right side of the car.
"We turned off the interior light to get a better look and could definitely see something moving in the trees in the distance. Our first thoughts were a person or an animal, all we could see was something large moving around. This thing must have been about 10-15m away. (I didn't exactly have time to measure!) I turned the car headlights and hazard lights on, to see if I could see anymore. This thing was the shape of a human, but stood about 7-8ft, it was hard to tell with it being dark and such a distance away.
"At first sight it was crouching, not completely to the floor, but approx half way and facing directly at the car. It was too dark to see whether it was staring at us, but im guessing it was! As soon as it realised we had seen it, it stood up straight, hesitated and ran towards us. Well as you can imagine I wasn't sticking around. This thing was definitely not human, it was huge! It wasn't just tall, but broad and stocky too. I haven't got a clue what its face was like, or its skin or fur, or whatever it had. It wasn't light enough.
"My back passenger darted to the other side of the car, and nobody said a word. As it came towards us it was rustling big bushes, shaking pretty big trees, it was just like in a horror movie. I drove out of the pull-in and turned left down the lane, this thing was keeping up with the car, but in the trees. I was trying so hard not to look in my mirrors, but I could see it in the corner of my eyes, I don't know whether it was flying or jumping or what.
"Its strength and quickness was unbelievable. Obviously I wasn't thinking that at the time, I just wanted to get the hell out of there! I drove to the bottom of the lane doing about 80mph, and it just vanished as soon as I came up to a pub at the bottom of the lane. I didn't stop until I entered a residential area.
"The fear was unreal, I have never been so scared, and didn't think I would ever experience anything that would scare me so much. I felt physically sick, cold and shakey. I just didn't want to believe what I had seen. None of us discussed it, I think we were all in denial! I completely blanked it from my mind after that, and didn't discuss it again untill 3 days ago, when the front seat passenger brought it up in conversation, and now I can't forget about it.
"I hate re-living it, but I thought I would let others know of my experience. I'm not asking you to believe me, because to everyone else it probably seems so far fetched, but I know what I saw and so do the other two lads. Im not at all saying I saw "bigfoot" but I know 100% this thing was not human. I know other stories say the thing they saw had red eyes, but I didn't see red eyes, I wasn't close enough to see. Glad I wasn't too.
"What haunts me now, is... What would its face have looked like? Where is it? It must have been watching us, and what would it have done if we didnt get away?"

November 15th 1967: police discover an abandoned car beside Old Alton Bridge, five miles south of Denton, Texas. A rash of mysterious disappearances are becoming alarmingly routine on a chilling stretch of road that is known by locals as "the Goatman's bridge."
Constructed in 1884, the bridge connected Lewisville to Alton. The turn of the century brought a black goat farmer and his family to a residence just North of the bridge, and a few short years later, Oscar Washburn was known as a dependable, honest businessman. North Texans endearingly began to call him the Goatman. But the success of a black man was still unwelcome, and Klansmen in the local government turned to violence after he displayed a sign on Alton Bridge: "this way to the Goatman's"
One night in August 1938, with their headlights off, Klansmen crossed the bridge, dragged the Goatman from his family, and lynched him over the side. Peering over into the water, his murderers saw a rope, but not his body. In a panic, the Klansman returned to the Washburn residence, and killed his family in cold blood.
Since the disappearance of the Goatman there have been many strange sightings on and near Old Alton Bridge. Some say his spirit still haunts these woods. Locals tell the story and follow it with a warning: those who cross the bridge with no headlights will be met on the other side by the Goatman.
After numerous abandoned automobiles and missing persons, a new bridge was constructed directly downstream. But Old Alton Bridge, the Goatman's Bridge, remains still open to foot traffic. It is under surveillance by the Paranormal Investigators of North Texas and the Denton County Paranormal Investigators.
Oscar Washburn was never seen again and has been presumed dead since his attempted murder.

A lot of things have changed since Penn State Paranormal Research Society founder Ryan Buell was a Penn State student.
Buell and the rest of his Penn State crew are now starring in the second season of A&E’s “Paranormal State,” and the small Penn State club he started as an undergraduate has become a national phenomenon.
So has the annual conference he created seven years ago to draw supernatural investigators to Happy Valley.
The conference, which has been held on Penn State’s campus for the past six years, first drew several hundred enthusiasts, Buell said. Last year’s attendance was about 2,000, a number Buell hopes to increase when the seventh annual Univ-Con kicks off Sept. 11 at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel.
The four-day experience will feature a wide range of events, including presentations by renowned demonologists such as Lorraine Warren, the cast of “Paranormal State,” ghost trolley tours and hunts on campus and a discussion of the effects of paranormal phenomena and the media.
“Everything’s changed since our last few conferences,” Buell said. “We’ve grown up a little bit.”
Aside from changing location, the conference will take a new turn, opening the door to skeptic Michael Shermer to challenge the attendees and explain “why people believe weird things,” Buell said.
“He believes that there’s a psychology involved to some of this,” Buell said. “We’re not afraid of debate. All we can do right now is talk about theories. That’s where things get heated.”
A masquerade ball and paranormal film festival will also add some new flair to Univ- Con.
“We’re young,” Buell said. “We throw this event like one big party. There’s a lot of hype. A lot of color. A lot of fun.”
Buell said that Univ-Con, which advertises activities such as workshops for those with psychic abilities and presentations on quantum physics, has something for anyone, even the biggest naysayers.
“If you want to be scared, there are people who can scare the crap out of you,” Buell said. “There’s nothing like this out there. It isn’t a bunch of old people sitting around talking about the stuff. It’s really animated and lively people.”
With a busy small screen career, Buell constantly asks himself if this will be the last Univ-Con.
“Every year we always say ‘This is it, we’re not doing anymore,’ ” Buell said. “Then we’ll get another great idea.”
Prices and schedules are available at www.univcon.org. Starting this year, the event is no longer free to Penn State students, but Buell said they can receive what he calls a “huge” but as-yet-undetermined discount.
