'The Village of the Damned' Investigation in Denbigh
Denbighshire paranormal investigator Tracey Williams believes she has evidence of ghostly goings on in Denbigh.TV's Most Haunted Live will be hunting ghosts and ghouls when they visit Denbigh's Victorian psychiatric hospital this weekend for the start of a week-long television special with star presenter Yvette Fielding.
The Living TV show has branded Denbigh 'The Village of the Damned' and the team will spend a full seven days lurking around ancient buildings and edifices to try and uncover 'the truth about the ghost-riddled asylum'.
This will be the first time Most Haunted Live has visited the 19th century asylum, which is believed to stand on ground cursed by witches who were tried and executed there.
But Tracey Green, 32, from Denbigh, believes she already has evidence of paranormal activity around the area.
Tracey is a classroom assistant with three children but in her spare time she reguarly hunts around the town's spooky buildings.
The self-proclaimed paranormal investigator said: "I have collected data on many sightings from locals in the town and attended homes that were in need of clearing spirits."
"There have been numerous sightings of a amorphous solid figure of a hooded monk at the base of Goblin Tower, near the woods.
"I had many reports last year of strange shapes appearing in photographs of the castle."
Tracey's also received the mobile phone photograph seen at the top of this page of the haunting of a Denbigh house.
"What you are looking at is a striped dressing gown hanging on the edge of the door and to the left corner you can see a face and a bit lower down a pair of hands," she said.
"When I went to the property I witnessed a few of the supposed phenomena that the owner claims goes on but was not shocked or frightened by it.
"The owner was very nervous indeed and was extremely distressed with the whole atmosphere in the house."
On her visits to Denbigh Castle, Tracey has experienced electronic voice phenomena (EVPs) which are recordings of voices or sounds of spirits that can be heard at the time or when the recording is played back.
